Charlotte Observer

He needs to issue a correction or apology. Didn't say anything overly terrible but the don't go to Ole Miss if you want to be ready for the NFL vibe is there.

Playing in the best division in cfb won't help with competing for the pros?

If that guy never meets Lane Kiffin, he is most definitely mopping a Burger King bathroom floor today. That’s a fact

Yea that's a slap in the face to Kiffin. He pulled Matt's best potential out of him

Terrible headline for that article. Not one quote that says he regretted going to ole miss. He talks about choosing a school he thought he’d be able to start at without much competition. (Kinda funny he still got beat out by Plumlee)

This is the actual quote:
When asked about dealing with a quarterback competition, Corral looked back to his college days at Ole Miss. “I took the easy way out because I felt I could play right away,” he said about his decision to go to Oxford, Miss. “Knowing what I know now and trusting my instincts and trusting my work ethic, I would have went to a place that would have made me compete.”

Still not a great quote to be honest.

Yeah, it doesn't sound good and the headline makes it sound worse but he isn't wrong. 5 star qbs don't come to Oxford for the challenge of winning the starting job over other 5 star qbs. A good chance to play early and ofter is one of our selling points to elite talent

Headline has now been changed

Did Matt have a committable offer from Bama or Georgia ? He definitely would’ve had a tougher QB competition at those schools or Michigan or USC. Phil Longo sure as hell wasn’t stacking QB talent in Oxford. I don’t see anything wrong with what he said.

Well when Kiffin got here, he started. It sounds to me like he regretted playing for Luke.

He used a poor choice of words but I get what he means. He made a decision to choose the easy route and he wishes he had trusted himself and his talent. I don't think he has any regrets of being at Ole Miss but regrets he made a big decision like that based on what was the easiest path. All he's really trying to say is he's not afraid of the competition in Carolina and in his mind he would choose to compete and win the job over those guys as opposed to being handed anything. Again, he used his words very poorly but people are making way too big of a deal out of nothing.

Poor wording imo. He was going to transfer out then we hired Kiffin. So I can see what he ment. Ppl are making a bigger deal than this should be.

Charlotte Observer is garbage and probably had a writer who hates the SEC. Dumb statement by Corral though.

It's a fricking 20 year old intern that's still a junior in college.

In fairness, didn’t we all go to ole miss because it was easy?

The editor wrote the headline I'm sure.

Either way a very big pile of nothing here.
