Winning by 7 after a quarter. We can't even make Kent State go 3 and out. No offense. No defense. Penalties all over the place. Empty stadium.

Luke hasn't lost this team. They are 3-1. Lol The truth is Freeze just didnt leave crap on defense. Players are either too young and shouldn't be playing or just flat out sick. Luke hired 2 coaches who are probably the best x and o guys on the staff. Fans dont have any patience. He is gonna need time. We are going to suck for a while. I didnt like the hire, but give the guy a chance.

I vaguely remember people saying almost the same thing about Steve Sloan. We suffered through 5 fricking years of this shite because of that attitude. Give him time, hell! I can understand a lack of talent, but this team is sloppy. They can't block, they commit penalties left and right, and Lord knows they can't tackle worth a shite. THAT is bad coaching. THAT is Luke's fault. He wanted to be Head Coach, well, BE head coach and take responsibility.

^^^ Oh I've heard him take responsibility Ad nauseam, but I've still yet to see marked improvement. It's just not enough to say it's all my fault. Ok, well, what are you going to do about it?

Exactly! I saw maybe 1 good, proper tackle yesterday. It does not take 14 months, 15 games, 2 fall practice periods, and a full off-season to realize you need to teach proper tackling techniques.

Two of those 3 wins were to VASTLY inferior opponents.
The team did not even show up yesterday. The only reason that we won was because Kent State simply is that bad. When they were fresh they outgained us on O and stopped us on D. Getting shutdown by such an inferior opponent show how Luke has lost the team.

What are you talking about? Its year 1. He was interim coach last year. Would you allow your kid to go to a school when they aren't even sure you will be the coach? This is year one.
Bad tackling? Once again he isnt a DC. You know the guy Freeze hired still is. There isnt a chance in hell Luke would have hired McGriff and there have been rumors he was "asked" not to fire him when he was named HC.

You dont see improvement because it's the same scrubs playing. I'd argue there has been improvement. The younger guys are doing better and are starting to take over spots. They obviously still make mistakes because well they were playing HS football a few months ago.
Recruiting will decide what happens with this team. We currently have 6 or 7 four star guys committed. Not trying to pump sunshine, we got a long ways to go. Just think some fans are expecting way too much from where we currently find ourselves.

Come on man. The players deserve support. It's not like they aren't trying. The program went thru alot. I hated the hire as much as you. I also hate the people that say dont be negative at all. Everyone deserves to vent with the product being put on the field. That being said you gotta give the guy a shot. I like the Bicknell and Sumrall hires. Cut the guy some slack. We're 3-1 lol

It could be argued that most of the players on defense, aren't trying. But if they love Ole Miss, it's all fine.
