Man you know how it is to be a fan here. It’s hard not to look at things like it may not happen because of who we are. I believe he is, just saying I can breathe easier seeing him at the press conference.

I actually look forward to reading that. Hopefully not behind a pay wall. Otherwise one of you frickers need to bring the cliffs.

According to our sources, Kiffin is expected to retain Mike MacIntyre as defensive coordinator.

Anyone know anything about this? I like the move if it was 100% Kiffin’s choice

Lane Kiffin’s kid is stoked to come to the SEC. If anyone needed any other type of confirmation that this is happening, here you go.

Yeah they played that on Game Day, surely it has to be real if his own son thinks it’s true too

I bet those frick sticks wanted to name MacIntyre head coach

Keith "Nine Inch" told them to get in line and that this is his show now

frick the GOB network. They got who they wanted for HC in 2017 and he sucked. I’m glad Carter told them to shove it

No matter how Strong of a recruiter Charlie might be, I’d much rather stick with MacIntyre over he or Randy Shannon.

Agreed. We can let the younger position coaches be the main recruiters. Hopefully we keep Syskey and Chapman. Let a seasoned vet like Mac call the plays and design the scheme.

If this is true, Keith needs a statue just for defeating the GOB network that has been holding us back for decades.

Now seeing Florida papers saying that they can now confirm that a contract has been agreed upon and he will be coming for sure.

I’m sure that both would be given the opportunity to stay. Siskey probably has a relationship with Lane already from Alabama. I would expect that we’ll likely beef up our shadow staff presence with this hire.

I appreciated Shannon's attitude during the McElwain years, but his D at Florida slid as fewer and fewer of Muschamp's players were on the roster. I'd prefer MacIntyre as well here to Randy.

I'm also happily surprised with the balls on Keith Carter if this is all true.

Every program has alumni fans that will bitch out of one corner of their mouth about students not showing up for games and being apathetic while they also raise hell about anything - from rap music to chants - that "wasn't done when I was there!" out the other side of there mouth.

Ole Miss has more of those than most I think. It's nice having someone who may actually take what students and other fans under 30 get excited about into consideration. I hope this all works out more because I want to see Carter get rewarded for actually stepping up and taking a swing than anything else.

How is Mac at recruiting? Because that is the only way we crawl out of this hole. Our D was pretty bad.

I thought Mac did a very solid job with what he had last year. The only major loss is Benito Jones and this should be the best we’ve been at LBs in years. The defense should be fine next year with Mac back.

I’d take Mac or Strong over Shannon. Shannon’s defenses seemed to rely on talent alone, and when talent ran out, so did the defense.
