There seems to be a lot of Lane Kiffin steam tonight. Does anyone actually know anything or is it pure speculation?

I haven't seen anything on Kiffin tonight outside of the normal message board stuff (so who knows).

If we are just now interviewing him tonight it's hard to believe wed already have anything with him locked up.

I'm tempted to think this is posturing by his agent for more money out of Arkansas

This is what I think too. I'll believe we have him when I see an official announcement. Until then, I still think it's Napier

Yep, which will be disapointing to the average fan for not being a big name. But given time could develope into a good coach for us.

Poster on nafoom says Lane is going to Arkansas.

My source at UPIG (works in compliance in athletics there) says Kiffin is coming to Arkansas. Been a good friend for over two decades. A lot of the Ark people are confident it’s done and will be officially leaked after the FAU game.

Doesn't surprise me. Gimme Napier if Norvell is off the table. I think he's going to be good

If we hire anyone else I'll be upset

Agree with Realist, nobody really knows anything concrete, and I’m fine with Napier too just ready to stabilize the program, get some fresh energy and start recruiting

Same. A lot of Ole Miss folks I know in Louisiana are extremely high on Napier.

I like the idea of Napier as well. I'd be okay with him or Kiffin. I think both have the ability to get some good recruiting assistants to come on board.

It’s possible kiffin is stringing Ark along as a fallback if he doesn’t get the ole miss job

That's exactly what he is doing. I think we are still trying for Norvell as #1. Norvell has made it clear that he isn't signing any contract until his conference championship game is over. Once that domino falls, the rest will fall quickly thereafter.

Arkansas fan coming in peace.

This seems to be what Arkansas fans believe. Who really knows who is on the better side of Kiffin at the moment but no doubt Sexton is going to try to raise the money either way.

So Carter is keeping this very hush hush apparently.

My buddy talks with a former safety that played for Ole Miss, is in the Ole Miss hall of fame and was, at one point, president of the M Club. It's been so quiet he hasn't heard anything. He talks to Archie a lot and even he doesn't know anything.

So if those two guys don't truly know what's going on, I doubt anyone does

John Daly was on Pawl saying he had been calling Kiffin begging him to come to Ark (I guess they’re friends). What a pair those two must be together

Yeah, that would be something to see. He also called the local Arkansas radio last week pushing Rex Ryan.

I think this is a good sign that outside influences AKA boomer GOB boosters aren’t holding this coaching search hostage.

You know if a group of boosters was strong arming Keith for a candidate they would be bragging and telling all their buddies who “they” were getting for Ole Miss.

How much are we paying Fatt Luke not to coach anyway?

None of that sounds bad to me.

Carter is from my generation at Ole Miss and we have mutual friends. As of now, I trust him to get this right. The fact that there's not leaking and bragging from the usual suspects makes me think he, and the people around him, are keeping the GOB's at bay.
