Would be very happy with winning 5 out of the last 7. Not sure how likely it is, but I would love it.
I don't really think Luke is in the running for head coach, but I'll say this about him - he's trying his best and the players love him. He got thrown into a rough situation and is trying to make the most of it, and a 6 win season in the midst of all that's going on is about all you can for.

He will definitely help on the defensive side of things, bring in better overall coaching and is a decent recruiter. We could do a lot worse.

I still can't forgive the Arkansas and Bama games. We should have won at Cal too. There is enough talent to beat more than UK and Vandy. We lose to everyone we should and then some. We still don't tackle well and our O stalls out frequently. Luke is not ready to be a power five HC.

I agree. I think he could be in a few years, but he's not ready now. That Arky loss really hurt the overall complexion of this season, and there's no excuse for getting blown out 66-3 to any team.

This will probably get down voted but I absolutely believe OM is playing as well, if not better, than they would be if Freeze was still the HC.
The defense is what it is. It was going to be bad this year regardless. Poor roster management has you in a bad spot there. The offense, on the other hand, is playing lights out. The emergence of a running game is making OM a dangerous team in the back end of the season. My one concern there would be why in the actual hell wasn't Ta'amu at least competing for the starting job before Shea got injured? It doesn't take an offensive Mastermind to see that a true dual threat QB makes that offense really hard to defend.
Not that you should hire him. Just pointing out that from an outsider looking in, he's doing pretty well with what he was handed.

Last time I looked, Freeze could do better than 3 points against Alabama. Our run game is better now that we got rid of that crappy oline coach. Freeze would have a wins against Cal and Ark in addition to what Luke has done; not that it matters.

We were shut out the second half of Cal game. Then the entire Bama game. Then the first half of Aubby game. Then we scored against Aubby second and third string defense.
Eight quarters of nothingburger Luke. And we had the best soph QB in the country at the helm.
