No it does not. In my opinion if I am going to go to a place to eat breakfast this is where I choose over anywhere I've ever been.
I love their eggs, biscuits, grits, sausage.

I feel like people that say that place sucks are saying that just because. Ate there for the first time in about a year LSU weekend and it was just as good as I remembered. The andouille and grits alone are worth it.

I like BBB... I rarely go there cause I hate waiting but it's always been good... I honestly dont know how a restaurant can frick up breakfast. *grits teeth thinking about The Beacon*

I was in school when BBB opened and love in Oxford now. I have still never been to BBB

The Beacoin's over-easy eggs have gotten me sick more than once... I'll never go back.

I've eaten there plenty and it's always meh.
I feel like people say it's awesome because it's John Currence.
But if you think it's the best place you've ever had breakfast i truly feel sorry for you. But as I said earlier I just feel that way about BBB, not Snackbar. frickin love that place.
I'm clearly in the minority here and that's fine. I just dont get it, I prefer anything I can whip up for breakfast over BBB.

That's how I feel about Ajax. I guess to each his own

You keep saying to each their own and that it's fine that you're in the minority but then you keep adding in things like
I don't feel sorry for myself. When I think of good breakfast BBB is exactly what I think of. I couldn't ask it to be any different for myself personally.
If you don't like it that's fine. But you don't have to add condescending comments each time to people that do like it.
And the name John Currence means nothing to me. I know he is some guy that owns some of the places around Oxford but I really don't know. I like BBB cause I think their food taste great and it's a cool little place to go in Oxford. Not because of whoever owns it.
So again you don't have to like it. That's fine by me hell I prefer if more people didn't like it so the wait wasn't so long always. But you don't have to add in smart arse little comments each time you state you don't like it.

Never been to BBB, but I will fight a motherfricker over some Matty's Mom's Meatloaf from Ajax. And their veggies are off the fricking chain.

I have not been to BBB in a couple of years. The first time I went it was great and then the second and third time I went it was a big drop off and the wait for food was insane.
Honestly it's pretty solid but there are a ton of breakfast/brunchy type places that are just as good as BBB. Maybe not in Oxford though...so I guess that's the appeal.

Also just an FYI if you are looking for a breakfast spot and haven't heard of it, but there is a place in the same strip as Newks on Jackson called Honey Bee Bakery.
They have a really good brunch, and it's usually not too crowded, can be on football weekends obviously but it doesn't get the same amount of traffic as BBB on regular weekends. Strongly suggest.

Honeybee is good - they are always changing their menu, but I used to always get the Monte Cristo sandwich and now it's gone
BBB is a great breakfast place - I suppose people hate all the positive press
Haters gonna hate.

This weekend I had the Avocado lettuce tomato sandwich and it was pretty awesome. I like the ever changing menu, keeps it real.

Lusa was always pretty freaking good.

I wouldn't say it's the best I have ever had but it's damn close. I guess one could have gone to Ihop or down the road to cracker barrel and gotten a good sisco breakfast. To each his own though.

It's not something I detest and refuse to eat but I usually get a wrap if I go there. Their chicken sandwich is essentially a salt sandwich and I usually like salty food.
