We have already taken a 1-year bowl ban. If the COI increases it to two years, we only have 1 year (next season) left.

I don't know that there's been one past two. I actually did a little "looking" bit didn't see one, but what if they gave us two more bowl ban years combined with our self-imposed one for a total of 3. That would be disastrous.

Heard last night that administration received penalties this week, and plan to release them tomorrow? Can anyone confirm this? We are on the 8th week, I believe.

I don't like the timing, but then I don't guess there is good timing Maybe this timing is good news. We shall see.

Let's hope there are some silver linings. Whoever takes over the program next will have a herculean task ahead of them.

I agree, there won't be any good timing for this though.

Heard the same thing. Also heard that the decision was in line with the hopes and dreams of our Erectile Dysfunctional brothers.

Let me throw this name I heard mentioned in passing, Kyle Whittingham the Utah coach.
He looks to have had decent success but don’t know much about him. Any opinions ?

I'm a little surprised that we might be getting the ruling this early. I kept expecting the NCAA to slow play the process to screw with us even more.

He is a stud. Can’t imagine he’d come here.

I think he is pulling down only 3.5 million a year. Maybe more money might lure him.
Looking over his record I’m wondering why I haven’t heard his name mentioned for
other coaching searches.

He's Mormon, graduated from BYU, and has pretty much spent his entire coaching career in the state of Utah. Doubt he has any interest in leaving.
