The thing we are missing is top tier DLs and OLs. I think we switched to the 3-2-6 because we don’t have the guys in the trenches. And other than Sam who is a consisted pass rusher. In regards to out OL….they couldn’t open many holes today and James may have had his worse game in his career.

It's a drag. But Bama has an excellent team, QB, defense. O line. It could've been a little closer than it shows.

All the rolling of the dice bit us in the arse but we were dominated on both lines outside of our first offensive possession.

Right now Kiffin is coming across as Freeze v2. Not taking points and going on 4th down on your side of the field, on the road against numero uno, is not solid coaching.

yeah those extra 3 points on the opening drive definitely would have stopped their offense more than one time in the first half.

He made some pretty bonehead calls but he is relying on analytics. Hopefully it's a good learning lesson on when to choose reason over insanity.
We are still lacking in SEC caliber lines and linebackers. Missing a tight end presence this year as well. Growing pains.

This is true. It seems like the OL has regressed from last season when they should be really solid!
And other than Sam we don’t have the caliber of athlete to get pressure on the QB…especially if we just rush 3.
Campbell is an SEC level linebacker along with Mark Robinson. Unfortunately they both only have this year to play (especially Robinson….that kid can play)

That’s a stretch IMO. Hugh would have put Sam Williams at quarterback on 4th and 2 to run a dive.
I completely agree with going for the touchdown on the first drive. A field goal there is also a win for Alabama IMO. I do not agree with some of the fourth down calls, especially on your own side of the field. Lane likely let his emotions get the best of him in a couple of situations.
The difference was the talent gaps on the front lines. No pass rush for OM vs Corral running for his life.

The only way to fix what we saw yesterday is recruiting. There were some dumb calls but based mainly on knowing we could not stop them. Just have to get better players.
