Lane’s playbook in cfb25 is so awesome. Just run trips to the boundary with an RPO. Run against light boxes, throw a screen if they give cushion, and throw a slant/go if they press.

We actually had a drive on Saturday where we did that and it worked like a charm.

I think on the 4th and 2 that we converted on the pass to Wallace he was wide open for a TD in the middle of the field. Simmons just missed him

Question: What's going on with Cayden Lee. He was our #1 WR coming into the season and pretty much has been a no show. Question 2: Can we give OL Kutas back to Arkansas? He has been the most pentilized player on the team for holding and false starts. He was the reason for Simmon's first interception and for the TD being called back last week. Do we not have anyone better? He's killing us!!

Give it time. Teams are still keying in on him.

He’s a slot guy running routes over the middle. Wallace continuing to burn being down field will help open up the middle throwing lanes.

Yeah, teams are aware of his ability after last season. As another said he is more of a slot guy anyhow. He will be a great asset as the season develops. He made a pretty nice almost first down that I’m pretty sure that was part of a scoring drive.

I’m not angling at anything with this but just thought I’d comment…

Luke Altmyer with 523 yds (75% completion) and 6 TDs / 0 INTs after 2 games.

Good for him. I hope he finds success. He and Ole Miss both benefited from Dart being picked by Kiffin over him

Yeah, when they did their alternating game starts, the clear winner was Dart. I wish Luke the best but you don't come across a Jaxson Dart very often. What he lacked in talent and raw skill, he made up for in toughness and motivation.

I'd like to see Caleb Odom break out, too.

I know the point you're making, but Dart wasn't lacking talent and raw skill. His first year he probably relied on that too much, but you could tell his Junior and Senior seasons he knew the offense like the back of his hand. I hope Luke has an incredible career and finds a way to an NFL roster, but there's no doubt Kiffin made the right choice. One thing is clear tho, Kiffin knows how to identify QB talent. He chose us in part because of Corral, recruited Luke and then got Dart here. All 3 of those guys had great college careers.

I think we all wish Altmeyer the best.

But no one is gonna wish we had him over Dart, a first team all conference quarterback.

We need Simmons to mature fast this weekend. I think we can run the ball on the hogs and give him some space

We just need to stop the Arkansas run game. We haven't been able to do so the first two weeks. Simmons and stopping the run are the keys to winning this weekend

It isn’t as bad as it seems the new defensive line and linebackers still needs to gel(much like the O) and our passing defense looks much better than it historically has been

I agree if we stop the run and continue to have a nice running attack we should win. It’s nice to have an actual running back and not have to start a WR in that position

How do we feel about Trinidad possibly being the QB Saturday?

In reality somebody already looked at these stats and if we hadn’t gone into prevent at the end of half’s vs Kentucky and subtract 1 long run play to GaState we would be like #3 in the SEC for run defense. Just don’t go back into that weird formation where we had DT playing Ends in a 3 man front ans we should be fine (ie when Kentucky scored the 10 yard rushing TD)

Great QB play and tenacious defense are the keys to winning football games. Who knew?

Why play a RB when you can play a WR or DT?
