My only concern with Simmons is his arm motion. He cocks his arm way too far back. The concern being that will cause fumbles if he's hit while his arm is back. Otherwise, he looks great.

This is true but JFC that ball comes out fast. Usually I see it as an issue that allows a DB to break on it. Really interested to see how it plays against SEC talent.

Well, there is one more thing. I didn't like how he wasn't progressing through his targets. On that 2nd INT, we had two WRs wide open and he threw into double coverage. Just a learning curve, but we need mistake free football this weekend.

True but this is a trait we lived through with Coral and Dart early in their careers. In Simmons defense after the second one he didn’t lock in anymore during the game and took check downs.

Don’t know if any of you saw but Walker Howard had a solid first game at ULL. 10/22 for 88 yards 0 TDs 1 INT.

They didn’t play a powerhouse team. That was against fricking Rice

Not sure how he'll do reading the defenses in the SEC, especially with these elite coordinators who will know how to exploit any weaknesses. But wow does the ball come out different out of his hand. The velocity just looks effortless.

Anyone else excited about Trinidad Chambliss? He threw for 2,925 yards and 26 touchdowns while rushing for another 1019 yards and 25 touchdowns last season, winning the D2 championship. I'm betting Lane is gonna have several short yardage packages with him.

Yeah, he's 6'0" (supposedly) and 200lbs. Simmons is listed as 6'4" and 215lbs.

He looked a lot smaller than that. He looked like he was about 5'10 170 lbs.

Questionable means they’re playing. At least that’s been the usual thing with Kiffin. “Doubtful” is what questionable really is

We need Wright badly to help block and stretch the middle of the field. Lacy looks legit so that is a nice bonus.

Dude runs hard and gets extra yards after getting wrapped up, which is encouraging. Haven't seen that in our backfield in a minute.

I haven't watched Kentucky's game, but I would assume the line moving down is due to the matchup of their DL vs our OL. Garrison has been a total bust and Lane needs to find a better OL coach.

That would have been figured into the initial line. Something happened to sway it closer. Either Vegas knows something or some people put down a ton of money on Kentucky.
