Probably easier for us to take him from Tennessee than LSU

Based on how our instate recruiting is going this year nothing will be easy. We are getting embarrassed.

First episode of The Season is out.

Crazy seeing all those faces who are no longer Rebels. Really hoping the defensive line shows up again this year.

I think it’s more kids want to get out of the state instead of it being strictly an Ole Miss thing. I know when I was their age I was going to Oregon State but decided that was stupid and stayed at the last second

Corvallis is a pretty awesome town though so it actually wasn't that stupid

Recruiting is about who wants to pay the most for a recruit or transfer. Kiffin and his staff aren’t going to overpay for a high school recruit. 10 years ago we would’ve killed it in recruiting this state but it’s about the money right now. Our staff would rather spend big on the portal for proven talent.

I agree. But I had never been there and got mail from them, googled the campus and said “yeah sure that looks cool”.

I'm not. I want to but have too much going on with my kids this fall to spend every Saturday in Oxford. I'm going to miss it. It's going to be a hard transition from going to every single game to not going to many at all.

Completely understand this. It got too tough with the little one's to pack up and haul down to Oxford when we did. The cost was getting ridiculous, it was hot as balls through October and you just collapsed at the house when it was over and that was after driving back to Memphis.

I gave up the season tickets after Nutt's last season. When I could figure out the sideline cards against LA Tech I went into an absolute raging downward spiral of pure hatred. I made the mistake of watching the highlights on Sportscenter because why not just really double down on being a glutton for punishment and seeing our players laughing on the bench made me throw my shoe split finger through the back of the television. The couch, in any city in America is a great place to be on Saturday, the beer is cheaper, the food tastes better, and I can clean my garage all season if things go sour.

We are wearing traditional, awesome uniforms this weekend, which makes me think we'll wear something new for LSU.

Even though it’s a cupcake, I’m glad to finally see us play tomorrow. Heard the O-line might struggle this year due to injuries but hope tomorrow gives them some starting confidence

He has the drops, but he’s their only target. He made a good business decision

Why are so many Rebel Fans so tied up on “we aren’t recruiting Mississippi well” in the Summer? I mean I would not mind some high profile Sip recruits but would hate to pay $1.2M for a HS kid that hasn’t earned shite, has flipped his commitment 3 times and is threatening to sit out the first game of his HS Sr season. Throw that money at Jase and let somebody else have the drama queen.

Yep - recruit nationally for players who fit our system and keep bringing in proven transfer players. It's worked well the past 3 years for Kiffin so why change now

I just don’t even get excited at all about recruiting anymore .

Very few freshman even stay long enough to contribute and start anyway . It’s not the end of the world to miss them as freshman

It all works itself out

Apparently, we'll be out 4 OL from the 2-deep and our top three TE's are all either injured or in concussion protocol.

Great start.
