Hahaha, well that might be a little strong, but I understand what you mean. I will say after we beat up on Penn State last year he was running at about a 9 on a scale of 10, but after this year he’s dropped to about a 7.5. Let’s see how we do in the portal.

It'll likely get to a 24 teams playoff. D-3, D-2, & FCS are all currently playing their 24 team playoffs right now the FBS will probably follow those.

24 game playoff format with 10 conference games and 1 OOC game. I think that’s where we end up

I would like 10 conference games then 4 team conference playoffs and then the 24 team playoff after

you think the team that showed up November 9th couldn’t beat any other team in the country? Ok

I'm just glad Alabama didn't get in - even though ESPN sure as hell was trying to push for it to happen. Both Alabama and South Carolina had blow out losses in which they were not even competitive in those games.

We didn't deserve it but had a better resume than Alabama. Them being out feels much better.

And, they have us predicted for the Reliaquest Bowl against Michigan

It was so fricking irritating how we weren’t ever mentioned as a possibility when we had a better resume than Bama, USCe and SMU

^^^ I totally agree but then I always try to bring myself back to reality that we have nobody to blame but ourselves.

It all comes back to that Kentucky game. Had we won that game, we would probably have a bye right now. 3 points... 3 fricking points.

I'd be cool with Michigan. Might as well play a big program if we're in a normal bowl game

I don’t think the team that showed up at the Kentucky, Florida, and LSU games could beat most of the playoff teams because they didn’t beat those three teams. You measure potential future performance by all performances.

Who gives a frick? I don’t even know what that bowl is. And no Ole Miss fan outside of direct relatives to the players better be caught dead at that bowl game.

AAC freshman of the year Joseph Williams will visit Ole Miss. WR from Tulsa

ETA:

Didn't do much the first half of the season, but really figured it out the last 4 games. Those last 4 games he had:

21 receptions
461 yards
5 TDs

I’d like to see us spend big money going after those sorts of players with multiple years of eligibility remaining rather than one year rentals( although Walter, Trey Amos, and Princeley have certainly worked out for us). I think we’ll get Simmons for three seasons and can set ourselves up for runs in 2026&2027 if we go get some great young talent.

I'm actually super excited for this. Dad did his residency at Duke, and I grew up in Durham. We might actually make a trip for this one
