Incredible season my friends. Our only losses were away to the two undisputed best programs in all of college football over the past decade plus. Exhilarating win at home against LSU, win at Jordan-Hare, and the Golden Egg is ours in Starkville.

It’s been ugly at times, but good teams figure out ways to win. If we can win the next one, it’ll be the best season since Johnny V.

It was ugly, but happy to get the win. 11-2 is still in play.

4 wheelers and Bo Wallace whiskey drunk and dropping fricking hammers….

It’s been a great day for Ole Miss football, so let’s just cherish this and ignore the ugly parts. We have a ten win REGULAR season when all of us thought 7-8 was the ceiling and if we get the baws to come back who can, we’re damn near guaranteed a playoff spot next year. I’m happy, Go To Hell LSU and we officially buried State. Hotty Toddy.

10-2 with the schedule we had this year is amazing. I didn’t think we would get 8

I was pissed about Mizzou being ranked ahead of us despite our clearly superior resume/sos. Not any more. Those oline injuries have made our pass blocking, which wasn't great to begin with, much worse. At least they can run block. Quinshon won that game for us. His freshman season SEC yards were second only to Hershel Walker. Now he is the only player have 15 tds in his first two seasons in the SEC since, you guessed it, Hershel Walker. The play calling was horrible. 1st down: run for decent gain; 2d down: run for no gain or 2 yd loss; 3d down: call long developing pass play and let State's stunts and blitzes get home. Their DC kicked our OC's arse that game.

Mizzou will lose to Arky tomorrow.

Just glad to get a win against those assholes tonight. I'll take the ugly win even though it hurt my liver.

Offensive line wasn’t great, and we can all agree on that. They didn’t do terrible though, and a lot of those busted plays were from non-line guys missing their blocks (Judkins had a few whiffs, as did others, but he made up for it by those 8 broken tackle runs).

Here’s the thing that hurt my brain the most, there were a lot of pass plays where Dart had plenty of time and went through all his checks only to find nobody open. What the frick was happening? Was Tre doubled team and everyone else covered up? The only game where Dart got his full checks in and still saw nobody open was Bama (sans some of our best weapons and understandable considering they’ve got multiple d-backs who will probably play at the next level).

We also didn’t have many big shots, why not hurl one to Tre every series? I’d rather him take a shot with our best player than run the same screen 3x in a row. Let Tre run the post and win the battle. He’s arguably one of our best receivers of all time, and we should have made State beat him more often.

On the one hand, preseason we didn’t know LSU would have its worst defense ever, A&M would be on their backup qb, Arkansas would go 0-fer in the SEC, MSU would go 1-fer, and Auburn would lose to NMSU.

On the other hand, we didn’t stub our toe against any of them, won against Auburn on the plains, beat a ranked Tulane team, and went shot for shot with a Heisman candidate.

I though 8 wins was the ceiling with a 20% shot at 6 or less. so 10 feels awesome.

I just got home from the game, that’s my 3rd Egg Bowl in Starkville and we’ve won all three times but by god I don’t know how or why State fans enjoy the cowbells. Not sure how well it showed up on TV but a pretty good crowd from OM there

Definitely was loud on a few of our drives. Especially the TD pass to Prieskorn.

It was near comical how predictable the play calling was!

Again, it was painfully obvious who was calling plays last night. I guess Kiffin thought State sucked so much that it didn’t matter who was calling plays so he let Weis have full control

Some thoughts…

Charlie Weis did everything possible to lose that game. Miserable play caller. All hail Pete Golding. Charlie will lose us a few games next year. Think he has a pic of lane balls deep in some kappa broad or something

Those bells have to be banned. Even in the suite I couldn’t hear a single fricking thing. They don’t “ring responsibly” at all. They ring them the entire pre snap so no one can hear or communicate and then put them down a split second before the ball is snapped. When they actually put them down and yell, they’re quieter than Vandy.

State is going to be paying lebby 6 million. He will get their offense going, but their defenses will be horrible. I’m not particularly worried about him as of right now

State's passing D was really good last night. They kept our receivers covered.

Artificial noise makers need to be completely banned. The rule is from the time the offensive center is over the football until the play is whistled dead - beyond obvious that isn't happening. And since the officials aren't flagging State for it, then they need to outright ban them. It was easy to hear thousands of them ringing constantly on TV.

I hope this topic is revisited and they get outright banned.

State was running cover 3 and rushing 4. The vanilla play calling also didn’t help. Weiss seriously has to go.

We were in mostly an Ole Miss section near our band but there was one State kid with a bell and he was short so that thing was right in my right ear all night. You could just tell he’d been looking forward to it all year so I didn’t have the heart to get on him but it was annoying nonetheless.

That video of that old state fan throwing a drink on that kid is fricking infuriating. God himself could not have pulled me off that guy
