Yeah it's hardly worth it to follow recruiting anymore. Half the guys who sign will transfer before they play a snap and half our starters will be new guys transferring in. It's impossible to follow.

Don’t know if it was getting older, Yancy, early signing day, NIL or all but I’ve lost all interest in recruiting.

In a group chat with some UGA and USF alumni, I posted this last night

quote:

I quit following recruiting. It’s pointless to follow year round because a kid will be committed.. go to a camp.. show up and blow up.. a big school comes in last minute and offers a bunch of “NIL” money and he flips and it’s really soured me on all of it They bring in these mercenaries for a year and they leave and it’s reload the roster again and again.

It has always been this way.

Austin Simmons flipped and I think is now a 2023. He is/was a 2025 4* QB.

I've heard of recruits reclassifying up a year but never heard of one moving up 2 years. How does this happen?

So is he coming in the fall ?

Guess the coaches do think Sanders is 50/50 at best of staying vs transferring

Apparently he'll be on campus next week.

But yeah seems to suggest Sanders won't win QB1 and will transfer. Though I think Kiffin will drag the QB competition out into week 2 to try to prevent that

Hopefully he doesn't do this and is fair to Spencer Sanders. I feel like we would be just fine with Walker Howard if something were to happen to Dart.

Am I missing how Sanders is going to even be able to transfer out? He's only got one year of eligibility left and he's used up his free transfer.

He still has his grad transfer I think. But to transfer and start in the fall he'd likely have to take a jump down

Now I’m monitoring both the 2023 and the 2024 classes. Recruiting is pretty ridiculous.

Same. I used to follow it religiously, but couldn’t care less these days.

Pete Golding tweeted a shark emoji this morning - so guess we are getting a defensive commit today.

Also, 3* athlete Cameron Clark committed to us over Notre Dame last night. 6-4 and 225 pounds. Our dline coach was his main recruiter so I guess we view him as a DE. Maybe a LB.

Seems like Golding and Kiffin are an incredible duo. If only we could bring Lebby back to complete the triumvirate

Cautiously optimistic we may be better than expected this fall. UGA will crush us, but the rest should be competitive.

State seemed very confident about him in recent weeks.

Jamonta Waller to Florida. Not particularly surprising. It was trending there or Penn State.
