I don't get it. Poke boards say he is lacking 7 credit hours in order to play in the spring; hope we can make that up. If he doesn't play in the Spring, he isn't going to unseat Dart. Maybe he entered the portal to get more money and OSU said no, so he transferred. Still doesn't make sense why he transferred to us though.

because we were his last option. OSU didn't want him back and he couldn't go to Auburn.

ya'll are really overthinking the hell out of this.

Worst case scenario Sanders is backing up Dart instead of Kinkead Dent.

Sanders will be getting paid more at Ole Miss than he ever would in the NFL since he would never be drafted so I could see sanders coming even if he knows he will probably not be the starter. They may even have certain packages designed for Sanders since he ran a ton at Okie Lite which would mean less big hits on Dart.

My only questions are: does this frick with Dart’s head? My guess is probably not since he didn’t lose his mind over the Altmyer QB battle. And if he’s as tough of a competitor as I think he is this will probably light a fire under his arse to take the next step as our starting QB.

And my other question is: will this take reps away from Howard? I don’t know how this impacts Howard at all.

But I’m sure all 3 guys were given honest assessments of the situation and the plan.

Another possible scenario is Sanders starts. Dart transfers. And Howard is our starting QB in 2024.

I'm not a fan of what we are doing with our quarterback room. If we are giving up on Dart already then we are making a mistake.

My only problem in all of this will be if the better of the 3 in the fall isn't starting

Dart was god awful at times late last year. I do think he can be a really good qb for us though.

Need more than one qb on the team. Would you rather them bring in some backup from the MAC? If Dart loses the starting spot then the team wasn't going anywhere with him. Dart still has all the advantages to keep starting spot

North Texas CB Deshawn Gaddie transfers to Ole Miss

Gaddie played cornerback full time at North Texas during the 2022 season. He was credited with 61 tackles, defended 13 passes, forced two fumbles and had one fumble return. In 2021, he split time between cornerback and safety.

Gaddie is expected to have two seasons of eligibility remaining

Louisville LB Monty Montgomery transfers to Ole Miss.

Massive for us. 70 tackles, 6 sacks 4 FF and 2 INT last season.

Edit: choose us over A&M

Montgomery, Perkins, Jean Baptiste, and possibly Demouy Kennedy is a solid LB corps.

If we can get Igbinosin back and one more DB along with a couple DL our Defense should be pretty solid next year with Golding.

I just hope this isn’t a Ross Bjork situation and we are aTm

I have no reason to think that, Bama fans are success spoiled brats and needed a scape goat…. I’m just saying the thought isn’t lost on me

Is Golding going to bring the 3-4 to Ole Miss? If so we really do need lb's. Golding Article
