Took him long enough. Think I posted he was "about to" like 2 months ago. Made me think twice about it.

It will be nice to have someone the size of the stadium playing for us.

After what happened yesterday we need a lot of them. Overall size difference was glaring.

Come and play

Immediate selling point

Get the NIL stuff figured out and bring them in.

We are desperate

People forget we're still in a rebuilding phase. LSU still has players recruited or developed from a national championship team.

We're rebuilding from probation and Matt Luke.

I have all the patience in the world for LK and the team. I just hope he has the same for us. Absolutely takes time but with transfer portal and everything else people have short fuses.

Yeah LK is clearly on the right track and has been extremely successful for us so far. At the moment, he has all the time in the world - and should get another raise this off-season

Another raise? He's paid more than all but about a half dozen CFB coaches.

You have to pay to play.

Yeah the portal definitely helped us get a jump start in talent and recruiting. We just need to keep developing our underclassmen and absolutely NOT shite the bed the rest of the season.

We did. He is one of the highest paid coaches in college football. He's the fifth-highest paid coach in the conference and 11th overall.

He makes $2,000,000 more per year than Mike Leach, $1,500,000 more than Sam Pittman, and about $1,000,000 more than Mark Stoops.

I don't know what else you expect us to do. We've ponied up, to say the least.

I like Lane. I want to keep Lane. Like anybody, he will need to surround himself with good assistants so there's more need for money there. I think we are about where we need to be money wise. It's an arms race for sure and at some point no amount of reasonable money will keep him if he continues to get us better and better. I do worry we are a bit of paper tiger at the moment between the youth, the inexperience and the injuries. I big time hope I'm wrong. I will sign up for 9-3 today.

We need legitimate coordinators. Weiss Jr seems strikes me as a legacy hire, and Partridge seems like a players coach but not the guy we need directing the defense.

Let’s give him the rest of the season to see what happens. Maybe he will turn things around a bit. One thing for certain is we look a lot better when we are facing a mobile QB and we are getting pressure.
