I've never purchased bricks but I can imagine they're rather expensive.
Would it be cheaper to brick in the NEZ and entire stadium or build another epic facade like the SEZ?

What REALLY needs to happen after the NEZ expansion is the complete renovation of the West side. The concourse is absolute garbage and hasn't been updated since the early 80's. The East side could use some help in that area too but is much better than the West.
Then I would like to make the sideline boxes match that of the SEZ.
I agree that the exterior needs work but I would prioritize the West side renovation above the exterior.

How long did it take tNetwork to come up with enough to start construction on the new arena?

That's going to be sexy AF.

That's what worries me about LSU's donor base. The big money would rather add the next phase to Alex Box and renovate Tiger Stadium's lower bowl than overhaul the PMAC or build a new arena. The PMAC is pretty nice but this new SEC basketball facility pissing match worries me that our bagmen might not be enough

The pmac isn't in the same universe as how bad tad smith is. Our donors had no choice, ha

I've only gotten to see the exterior in person, but I should have made a game to say I experienced the sad pad at least once. It looked like it got really loud at times though (LSU 2007 buzzer beater comes to mind)
At least basketball recruiting doesn't hinge on facilities nearly as much as most sports do. Most of the blue blood programs have extremely out of date facilities

I really like the look of the Pavilion. It has a retro, field house look about it. Plus, the red roof is the clincher.

The Tad Pad in the late 90s was one of the best places to watch a college basketball game. That place would get really loud.
I'm really anxious to see how the Pavilion holds in sound. The look and feel of it, and the location on campus, couldn't have been better. I'm excited to see how this transforms our athletic campus and our basketball program in particular. And hopefully we can get a Phish show every now and then.

West side press box needs to be torn down. I'm sure we can salvage some of the new additions to the place, but the whole West side needs $50M in upgrades.

Seeing as they just finished renovating the press box I don't think they will be tearing it down anytime soon.

We should sticky this thread.

Brickwork is typically around 18sf to finish. That's a lot of square footage. Would most certainly be a "metric frickton" of money lol.
IMO it would be well worth the price. The only downside to winning and constant upgrades are the prices of tickets. It won't be long before most Rebs that are lifetime season ticket holders start watching from their flat screens at home. It's a dangerous game to be playing in the " lowest paid state in the U.S."!
