match that 2 mill for a generational guaranteed RB for one year. keep him with the Ole Miss logo in the NFL. when we let quinshon go we struggled I get he was a problem in the locker room.. but we would've been in the playoff last year with him seeing how our running game fell apart .

All of this. You do whatever it takes to keep your stars. We have some extra cash next year because of the coaching turnovers. You’re looking at potentially one of the best players in all of CBF next season.

arguably the most replaceable skill position on offense

If this is true, why did we lose 3 one score games after Judkins left because we had to run a DT on 4th and short?

You’re confusing the NFL (32 teams, more than 32 average RBs because you can have 5-10 year careers and a new crop of backs is draft eligible every year) with college (136 teams, only 4 year careers, and way fewer high level backs each year. Probably 5-10 out of 136 if we are being honest)

I’m not saying $2 mil is a bargain, but if we think the rest of the roster is playoff caliber then you absolutely pay it because the lack of an elite back is worth 1-3 losses in the SEC.

Nope the money can be best used elsewhere. I don’t know why Bentley wasn’t used in 24 (and I know the rumor, but it sounds ridiculous), but you don’t pay one of the most easily injured skill positions on the field that kind of money. Let them do that and we get 2 backs for that price

We didn’t have to do that. Lane and co. chose to do it. He had all offseason to buff the RB position and chose not to because he’s lazy, arrogant, and always distracted.

Well the DT up the middle worked literally every time we did it until the Florida game.

And we had the proper replacement. Lane decided to not play him out of spite for fricking his daughter

Any chance we get a red v powder uni matchup or is it going to be our whites with powder accents?

Have season ticket holders (or high priority folks) heard if they’ll be able to buy from the schools allotment of sugar bowl tickets?

Reason I’m asking - I selected that I’d like Sugar Bowl tickets when I got my tickets for round one, but haven’t heard anything since.. I’m not a big donor and have only gotten season tickets for a couple of years, so I’d be down the list on priority.. so wouldn’t surprise me if I’m not selected, but curious regardless. Wanted to ask here before I called the ticket office.

Pretty sure UGA is the home team so we will be wearing our whites with the Powder helmet. Could be red numbers or powder I guess

Chase seems to think we are going realtree for the sugar bowl

Definitely a bummer there. It’s cool for a one off home game

But we will have all the eyeballs and have great uniforms and helmets to wear on our biggest stage without all of twitter going “ what is this on ole miss helmet?”

I don’t understand why anyone who isn’t a player would care about a fricking uniform.

The only tradition we have is being a shite program, so forgive me for enjoying all of the new things.

Meh, the players pick the uniforms so whatever they like is fine. Plus, Realtree is a large donor.

I’d assume that comes with another very healthy donation from Realtree. I’m okay with it.

Where has RebelGator been? Did kiffin leaving break him or was his info coming from someone on the offensive staff that is leaving. Very curious to hear what is going on behind the scenes with lacy, Trinidad and our kicker. Know Watkins is gone which is fine, but would like to know what's going on with the other 3

Thought we'd keep him given we are keeping ST Coordinator.

I think we lose Lacy, Winnie, and Deuce. Gonna need to be aggressive in the portal.

From what he said after, it was due to a lack of targets.
