I'm sure Nick Saban told them he's not coming to Oxford. Knows the reception he'd get after his hypocrisy.
Or they want to go to a game with an actual P4 matchup and not a rematch of a 45-10 slaughtering

Nah, Saban scurred. Like LSU fans, I reject reality and substitute my own.

Not a terrible schedule. Just hate that we play lswho middle of September. That game should always be late October or right before the EB.

Yeah, having a home game on Halloween and it not being LSU is a travesty

They made a major mistake not having that game on Halloween night (may work out in OM’s favor though - would much rather play them earlier).

That game is already going to be insane - add in Halloween night though, boy…

Week 3 is the best way to guarantee GameDay is in Oxford for it. Even if both teams are rolling in 1-1, it's GameDay.

Maybe they are trying to make Auburn our Halloween game. Played them Nov 1 in 2014 (treadwell game) and Oct 30 in 2021 - the game where we had no receivers.

There is absolutely no reason to have the lsu-ole miss game any weekend other than Halloween.

Aub isn’t a permanent rivalry though are they? So we won’t play them every year.

I thought we traded off all the non-3 permanent SEC teams? I didn’t think we’d have UGA or UF. Does that mean we won’t play A&M or Bama for another couple seasons?

We seem to not so subtly be trying to get Archie back on board.

I'm good with it as long as he doesn't have any influence into hires/fires. He's been terrible at that aspect.

As I forget, is Kiffin the main reason Arch stayed away from us?

He definitely didn’t help but I don’t think he was coming anyway. Someone said that when he had an official visit his junior year, Kiffin either showed up way late to meet them or stood them up

If we offered that kid $7 mil per year and he ended up looking like he did this year, I’d have a stroke.

So I’ll defend Arch a little here. He’s had a below average offensive line and no wide receivers to really throw too.

Even still he has thrown for 3000 yards, 24 TDs and 7 interceptions while also rushing for 8 TDs. All in his first year being a starter.

It’s not $7 million worth this year but the kid will get better. But Texas has to get him better receivers and an improved offensive line. He didn’t have that bad of a first year.

Given the way it's played out so far, I bet there has at least been a time or two that Arch has regretted that decision. Maybe not as a whole, but at least a little.

At the very least, it was a failure in allocation of resources. They could’ve used some of that $7 mil for at least 1 good receiver and some O line help.

I think you’re correct.

But it doesn’t change that with a $7 million NIL deal will come with a lot of well deserved scrutiny. He has played well but not well enough to live up to his billing. Anything short of a natty is a waste.

How did they get the $7 million through the clearinghouse? I haven't seen him on any commercials.
