I think there's a lot of truth to that. Of course, what it means can be interpreted a dozen different ways

Well then they are dumber than Lane. I get that rich people hate not getting their way, but all the talk of ultimatums reeks of insecurity.

Make a run in the playoffs and then absolutely wreck shop in the transfer portal. Everyone will just act like it was his plan all along and forget the whole thing.

Nah. You can only be told a number to hit and everything is good so many times. He has been given everything he has ever asked for so the people who actually foot the bill getting pissed he is still trying to get more money out of them instead of committing is completely understandable from their perspective. That’s not insecurity

Not at all. You don’t go into a room, ask for the moon, get the moon, and lie to the people giving you the moon that you’re done being a wishy washy frick

Regardless of everything, Ole Miss the program has won with PR. Everyone is saying that we gave him everything to succeed and the fans have been amazing. Our job is attractive. The best outcome would be for Lane to stay but frick.

Sumrall is waiting to see if we open up supposedly. We may steal him from Auburn which would be sweet

He prefers our job over Auburn. But timing is an issue - which is why we are trying to force the issue

This.

And then.. ok let’s say Kiffin does somehow stay…

Is the media gonna ask him point blank, you say you don’t discuss contracts and things, yet you/your family has been on an sec college town tour this week… that sure seems like a violation of your personal policy. Thoughts ?

Or is everyone gonna pretend this didn’t all happen.

Lane's personal policy is what Lane says it is at the time. See 2022.

He can very easily come out and deny those rumors but he won’t because we all know he was in Baton Rouge, flirting with LSU he is who he is.

He wasn’t. He’s been here. Jimmy was here earlier.

You have to wait and see how it plays out but everyone is saying the same thing. Sexton asked for lots of things. Those things were guaranteed. Then Jimmy ran to Florida and LSU with the offer in hand and said this is what you have to beat. That's his job at the end of the day as an agent but man it stinks to high heaven.
