Saban has no interest in coaching now that he can't direct dodge chargers to the players he wants and have them unable to transfer without sitting out. If there's one thing that's clear from all his statements, it's that he knows none of the championships he won were due to his coaching, just recruiting better players

The most shocking thing to me during this saga is the fact that Pat has sort of stuck up for us and has kept saying it’s okay and not a bad decision for lane to stay here.

The ones screaming let him finish the rest of the season only want him do that so can steal our players. Anyone with common sense knows he can't do that in this day and age of collage football if he is moving on to another team.

Really wish they had Shane Gillis on right now to call out Saban. Saban " lane has to consider where you can get the best players" Shane " guess Indiana jones over there only won when the best players out of high school rolled up to ttown in dodge chargers". Saban "ole miss should let lane continue to coach even if he signs with lsu", Shane " of course, while indiana jones would can Joey Freshwater over sleeping with booster's family members, he would definitely put his players first to let him coach for a championship if he took another job, o wait"

I don't think it's as cut and dry. I hate the idea of him being committed to another team and coaching us in the playoffs, but let's think about it.
There's no clear cut dominant team in this playoff. Does Kiffin give us the best chance to win? If you can win a title, don't you take that shot? These chances don't come around very often. It fricking sucks, but would you trade a title for the mess it would cause?

It's because he was paid a million dollars to "consult" them on the coaching hire, and he's probably a bonus if they hire who he recommends

He is currently my a-hole. F sumrall and his 10 mil contract I will take lane for 13 mil. This stands until Kiffin is not actively working in our best interest. Sumrall tied up with play offs anyway.

I’ve been thinking on this quite a bit.
It prolly won’t be popular by most. But for me even if he picks LSU I let him coach as long as he wants to with, potentially SEC Champ game and as far into the playoffs as we go.
I get it. It sucks. But letting him coach doesn’t slow down the replacement process. But it does potentially give us the best chance to win a Natty.

We have that contract on the table for Lane. He’s not taking it. That logic doesn’t make sense.

No tell Lane to kick rocks and let everybody on the team understand Lane quit on them and left a team trying to win a championship. I don’t want him staying in oxford and recruiting our players.
