What is making me sick at my stomach are the “fans” I’ve seen on social media say “Well we knew this day would come! Thank you for all you’ve done Coach! We can’t really expect to offer the kind of money LSU or Florida can have. We should go look for the next Lane Kiffin and keep him as long as we can!”
People with that mindset aren’t fricking fans. They are shite arse people who want nothing more than a social event on Saturday. They’re the same dipshits that think we should just focus mainly on baseball. I fricking despise casual assholes that don’t know what they are talking about

As a state employee. Lane would have to resign from Ole Miss before he signed anything with another state university. So the problem would solve itself.

But then he has to leave before the playoffs, and opens the door for a replacement to step in and who knows win it all. That would shite all over his optics. Coaching Friday if he is leaving is just lose/lose in my eyes

His replacement isn’t coming in to coach the playoffs. It will likely be Joe Judge as interim. If he leaves

Disagree. The documentary PR was to improve his coaching market. This is just about wanting to stay the center of attention. Taking the LSU job tomorrow means he is out of the news by Thursday. This gives him another week or two.

I’m not judging the decision on the merits of how good it is. It just gives Lane what he wants in being Americas most sought after coach for one more week. And it’s one more week to essentially negotiate teasers and small additions to the contracts

Only way I'll ever pull for MSU now is if they are playing LSU and Kiffin is LSU's coach. Kiffin becomes public enemy #1 if he goes to LSU
