Can we just skip the season, fast forward to firing Matt Luke and look forward to next season instead of having to endure what we are about to endure this season?

Dude chill out. You have no idea what's going to happen. If we win this weekend, it is not totally insane to think that we COULD be 4-0 headed into the Bama game. Give these kids a chance.

At this point, I'd rather watch bad Ole Miss football than no Ole Miss football.
We MUST win at least 3 of our first four to make a bowl game, and even then its unlikely.

I agree. I'm really hoping for a bowl this year but we do need to move on to a real coach. I miss being excited about having a chance of winning other than just giving kids a chance or supporting players. I want to actually win big games.

I can honestly say I thought Luke was the worst but these cordinator hires have given me a real hope that Luke can be a good head coach. Freeze would have never hired these guys. I know Freeze could coach circles around Luke but I know Luke’s cordinators could coach cirles around Freezes.

Let me guess though. It wouldn't be fair to hold them to the same standard that we held Freeze to entering his third year.

Let’s see he hasn’t signed three recruiting classes, he was the interim coach for one of the seasons, and we had NCAA sanctions. The biggest mark on Luke’s record is he didn’t fire Freezes cordinators fast enough. Underperforming last season was on him.

I'm just ready to be truly excited about a season again instead of being excited that I get to watch them play, knowing that at best we make it to the worst bowl in the league.

Even when we have been excited for seasons with talent those lower tier bowls were our wheelhouse. Cutcliffe took lots of pretty good teams and drove them straight to mediocrityville aka Shreveport. Ole Miss has had two seasons in our lives that we can truly say were chances to make waves and our coaches blew it. Spectacularly blew it. Both seasons we lost to Memphis while blowing a two touchdown lead. Both seasons we were in a shootout with a vastly inferior opponent and lost. Only significant difference was 2003 lost to a superior and streaking LSU looking for it's first title in 58 years. Freeze lost to 10-4 gators by four touchdowns when we were ranked third. Cutcliffe made up for it by going 7-4 and not making a bowl though.

And don't give me the NCAA crap excuse. Freeze and his staff were still bringing in top talent throughout the investigation so I hold Luke to the same standard. Especially when he doesn't have near as much NCAA pressure as Freeze did

I'm not going to rehash how stupidly you've been acting for three years because any person visiting this board has seen your menstrual cycle permeate every thread all because you're an attention whore. None of the boosters or fans want mediocrity. Your cognitive dissonance regarding Freeze would be hilarious if it weren't for you constantly defending him. He sucks. Nothing can change it. The one thing you can change is shutting up. There's not a prevalence of Luke fans or even a significant minority.
