Matt Luke sucks, and needs to fired immediately. I’m done with mediocracy. Personally I want a big named coach... like Lane Kiffin, Les Miles, or Mike Leach. Screw any coach who just doesn’t belong in the job, like Matt Luke or any unproven prospect coach.

If we wait another year we could be competing with some bigger programs too.

1/5 on touchdowns in the red zone lost us this game. That is unacceptable.

I mean, hasn't that kind of been our MO for the last 7 years? The biggest criticism with Freeze's coaching was that he was always so terrible in the red zone. It's been more of the same since Freeze left. Imagine that.

Who do you guys think will hire this upcoming coach? With what money will we use to pay the buyouts? What upcoming coach is interested in us? If anybody has answers to these questions on this board please contact olemiss.edu/careers for further information.

I don't care, we need to hire a new coach.

We have enough cash to fund this, plus private foundations will pony up the rest.

Neal Brown, Bill Clark, poss. Mike Leach, and any other coach in the US that is not making upwards of $3 million per year.

I'm not even going to turn it on. I don't need it to further ruin 2018 or my Thanksgiving.

1. You don’t care that the guy making the hire is grossly incompetent and thus logically will most likely screw us again?

2. We don’t have the money to pay all those buyouts why do you think Mcgriff is still our defensive coordinator? That’s just one dude

3. Yes the money to come is enticing if you literally ignore ever other factor that’s working against us

Do y’all subscribe to the notion that Vitter hired Luke and not Bjork? Bjork supposedly was set to go with Doern until Vitter overruled

Well I don’t because he did end up hiring matt luke ultimately. Dorean was going to come if we avoided that second year but like every coach we talked to(and to his credit Bjork talked to a lot of the names mentioned here) he was waiting on the axe. Bjork is good at CYA. Vitter needed to go too but Ross is the guy who subsequently hired Luke then got his “the players love him and Oxford loves him” Facebook crowd on board. The only player for sure leaving if it wasn’t Luke was funnily enough AJ. The way he handled the ncaa stuff alone is grounds for dismissal imo.
