can’t blame him. He gets to enjoy his last year of college and get paid (?) to just be a mentor/veteran leadership guy.

If his payment is anything more than the cost of scholarship, he’s overpaid.

Is Luke Hasz out of eligibility or does he have another season? Wright was a huge weapon for us this year, so that TE spot is crucial to keep going.

He still has eligibility and has committed to come back. We also picked up Caden's brother (TE) in the portal as well.

I know we have an open OT spot. We sign a few OL out of high school each year. Have any of those developed to the point they can hold down OT?

Pay Seaton a little more than whatever he’s asking for.

I don’t like paying that much for Seaton. He comes off as a diva and not a team guy. Pete is developing culture and wants guys who want to be at Ole Miss. let the kiffins overpay for the stars and watch that ship sink.

Howard has committed.

Apparently Bama and Auburn have thrown a ton of money at Dottery to try to get him into the portal

frick this. Pay the guys who will win games.

That ship is what got us to the CFP and one game from the national championship.

“Mississippi made” and getting guys who “want to be at Ole Miss” is some Matt Luke shite that lead to us being mediocre at best for 60 years.

If Pete’s culture is to get guys who are loyal to Ole Miss and love Mississippi, then we are fricked beyond belief.

It was a backup QB that came from Ferris State and a rb that was buried on Missouri's depth chart that got us one game from the national championship. Outside of Kutas and Princewill, most of our transfers last year were not the guys you have to overpay for. I don't want the "Mississippi made" motto back, but I also want guys who don't look at it like I'm only going there if they pay me way more than anyone else. That's what got Auburn in trouble. Once you have guys who are there solely for a paycheck, it's even to give up on the season once one or two things go wrong.

Its also what got Michigan and Ohio State a national championship and has Miami playing for one. Those guys don’t give a shite about the school or the history. They care about the paycheck. That’s just how it is now.

Hugh Freeze being checked out after 1 year also got them in trouble.

I think it's a combination of both. You need guys that WANT to play, and there's nothing wrong with them wanting to get paid because they know their worth. They don't have to "love" Ole Miss - but love to play.

Those Michigan and Ohio State teams were built on guys who had been at Michigan and OSU for 4 years. Yeah they sprinkled in some elite transfers, but the best thing they did was get guys who were going to be 3rd or 4th rounders to turn down the money to come back. Similar to what we need to do with Dottery and Pounds and what we've already done with Perkins and hopefully Chambliss.

So Diego Pounds played 5 games in 2022 his freshman season. Does the new rule of allowing players to play 9 games and still redshirt cover him?

Or is that moving forward?

Can we hang onto Cayden Lee?

I was hoping for a lot more out of him this past season after watching him in 2024. Definitely has the potential but just doesn’t give me the feel like he can be physical enough. Definitely need to keep him though.

For some reason I thought I saw somewhere that he was a redshirt Junior but I must have read that wrong.

The drop against Georgia was his first dropped pass in two years.

He may not be physical but he runs good routes and he catches the ball.

Desperately want Lee back. He is not the physical receiver you'd want to be a number 1, but he is as reliable as it gets and is one of the best slot receivers in the country.
