I have never been happier to be wrong in my entire life. I 100% gave up after the Bama sweep at home. I thought the team was dead.

When you think about it this is the exact opposite of pretty much every team that Bianco has coached in the past. Normally we kick arse in the regular season and flame out in the post. I am absolutely fine with sucking in conference play as long as we can get in and get hot like we have recently. I just really still can't believe that this team has not lost a game in the postseason yet and in our last three games have outscored opponents 37-6

Obviously I would rather be good all the time but look at Tennessee....beat the dog shite out of everyone (and act like complete tools meanwhile) in the regular szn and then lose at home to ND. As long as we're in Omaha, as Ron White says I don't give a fiddlers frick how we do in regular season play as long as we find our way in. LFG

I quit running the season thread. You guys owe this season to me right?

Congrats and enjoy Omaha

Where are those extra ~100 games and why is Southern just leaving them out?

Maybe they are leaving out games when they were Teachers College and/or Mississippi Southern College?

Their wiki goes all the way back to 1913. That being said....I'm not gonna go tally up every game they've played against us.

Found their Baseball almanac. Even though they list records going all the way back until 1913, they don't list actual game-by-game results until 1947. ~100 games over 34 years when they were playing 5-10 games a season is still way too big of a discrepancy so maybe that was part of it....but definitely not the sole reason. Hell some of the early seasons were only 1 to 3 games.

When do we know our schedule for the first game? Planning my trip! Taking my son and possibly my 84yo father. Pretty excited!

How does our pitching shape up if we need to go 2 games with Arkansas?

Try to go 3/4 innings with the starter
and then throw the best of our bullpen at them?

I would honestly do this over Diamond. Diamond just feels like a disaster waiting to happen.

Ok, boys. It's game day. I do not want to watch a game tomorrow. Not with us playing in it anyway.

Well my emotions are back and I woke up with a anxious pit in my stomach feeling. Preparing myself to be heartbroken again, should be a thorough one

I’ve already accepted we aren’t winning one of the next two games with Arkansas. Much less a title. If we do though I’ll be more than happy

I've seen far enough times where we've won game one, got overconfident to lose game 2, and just completely collapse mentally to drop game 3.

We HAVE to show up tonight pissed off and ready to end it. Baseball's weird in that a team with exhausted pitching can still win it all if the other team just isn't mentally into it.

At ULL, we played from behind and it gave us the chip on our shoulder....but Bianco has a NUMBER of examples of not being able to keep the team's focus when we're in the driver's seat.

Let's be honest, we all know how these two games against Arkansas are going to go...
