I just knew that we would make a Super Regional and win or lose, Carter would extend him and we would be in the same hell were for 21 years.

I think there had to be somewhat of a pressure factor there. I give the kids the majority of the credit for climbing out of the conference slump, and Mike most the credit for pulling the right punches in the post season.
I think the kids knew they were the best team out there most every game and I also think Mike knew he had to at least get there.
If not this year, when? And with UT absent it started to look clear to me that it was just meant to be. Arkansas scared me but beating them twice in Omaha just shouted destiny from the fricking rooftop

I kind of had a feeling that we were destined once we took out Miami. I wasn't sure how our pitching was going to do in the finals though, then Saturday night happened.

Happy for him and glad we have a national championship winning coach. Like I said a few weeks ago I’m not complaining about his contracts anymore he can stay for as long as he wants
