I really like Ben McDonald as an announcer, but he keeps talking about "can Southern make Ole Miss use up some of their arms for tomorrow". We are up 10-0

Wood is playing because Mccants is still hurt. Bench has to play CF. Burton/Leatherwood are both huge liabilities in a game that was thought to be low scoring. Wood is strictly there for his defense. Whatever we get offensively is just cake.

Used just two arms, y’all. That’s huge. Or should be.

Wood is better than a healthy McCants. McCants has been dogshit this year.

Let's go beat those community college commuter school rednecks tomorrow and head to Omaha.

Maybe but We’re better with Bench at 3rd and McCants in center.

Defensively, I agree.

But McCants has been awful at the plate this year. Wood has looked really good in his 2 starts in the postseason. McCants isn't benched because he's injured. He's benched because he has sucked this year.

I mean he regressed this year but him hitting 320 last year wasn’t a fluke. Gonzo is even hitting 30-40 points lower than last year (not comparing the two talents).

He’s gonna have to put in some serious work this summer/fall forsure but he’s still playing every day next year.

That stadium is such a piece of shite. I'm flabbergasted. I don't understand how they're not embarrassed.

Great game by Delucia, and awesome we only used 2 arms.

Their stadium is a glorified community college stadium. Pearl River and Gulf Coast have nicer stadiums

Guys I'm nervous. I've never seen us make it to Omaha as a fan. Heck, I didn't follow this sport till I went here. I want to see it happen

After winning the first game in the Supers, Bianco coached teams are 0-6 in the remaining games to go to Omaha.

It's either win or be fired for Bianco today and tomorrow

Only Bianco can choke this one away.

USM’s game 3 starter is a Delta State transfer. If that guy keeps ole miss out of Omaha we don’t deserve to go.

If we can get an early lead today that stadium and the USM dugout will start getting really tight. When you get tight you start forcing things. Chasing bad pitches , defensive miscues and pitchers overthrowing. Postseason college baseball comes down to playing solid defense and not giving the other team extra outs and ABs all the time. I expect more of that today.

So true. Exact thing that’s happened to us to close out supers at home. Pressure is a hell of a problem to deal with especially when you can feel the weight of your home fans as well

In 2018 Tennessee Tech beat a 4 seed Ole Miss with an outfielder pitching to advance to a super regional… at our own regional.
