We have a lot of question marks on the defensive side.

First time in a long time I have no idea who will start in most positions on the defensive side. I might have checked out for my mental health towards the end of the season or the beginning. Besides Henry and Williams playing ILB and OLB respectively I am not that familiar.

I was looking at the DT's (holy shite scary)

Patrick Lucas (red shirt freshman) had some really nice offers. Played in 4 games and red shirted. hurt his Achilles last year.

Sincere David (red shirt junior) knee injury last year in fall camp. Hopefully can help out this year.

LeDarrius Cox (red shirt freshman) also had some nice offers but didn't seem to produce as much as Lucas probably has a higher ceiling though.

Jalen Cunningham (red shirt sophomore) Plays OL now so dont hold your breath.

Hal Northern (senior) I hope he learned something last year..... Wish him nothing but the best but he's not very good.

Ka'Darian Hill (red shirt sophomore) seems very athletic played a lot of special teams hopefully he can contribute.

Quentin Bivens (red shirt sophomore) This might be our starter but in all honesty I have no idea. He seems to be the one thats played the most.

I'll look at the DE's soon.

Random thoughts on the defense:

I look for Tariqious Tisdale to have a sort of breakout season.

I’m excited to see MoMo Sanogo come back from injury. With the amount of youth on defense he is needed more than ever to be the quarterback on that side of the ball.

I’m hoping to see some of last year’s JUCO signees to take another step forward in their development like Sam Williams and Jon Haynes.

Besides tisdale I have no idea who will rush the passer. I’m really worried anyone with a decent QB will pick us apart.

I can’t believe Benito is going as late as he is. Dudes a stud who played on a bad DL. Greg hardy was a beast and went 6th round though.

Short arms and viewed as more of an anchor than anything. I think he'll be successful, but he will start out as a rotation A gap DT

I expect Sam Williams to move to DE and start oppo Tisdale. No idea who plays DT. We needed a JUCO or transfer there really badly.

Benito played almost every snap last year. He is by far the biggest hole to fill.

I can't remember the last time we had a pair of Defense Ends, or even one really, that put real fear into anybody.
Haynes was effective but not really imposing.

It seems like it will be a strength for us. Which means 3 starters will be injured two games into the season

That was great but nothing will ever top the 2008 Egg Bowl. Peria Jerry, Jerrell Powe and Greg Hardy almost killed Wesley Carrol and Tyson Lee

I had a class with Jerrell Powe my freshman year the guy was really cool. Got pretty drunk with him at that pool hall on jackson one night. I remember he had to walk in the door side ways to fit.

I had a geology lab and sat next to him. He was incredibly nice and genuine.

I also pounded patron w/ sprite at Library Sports Bar with Greg Hardy which was an interesting night
