As a black man I carry the burden of other black men. The tpos that commit senseless crimes have an adverse effect on me and other young black males. The fact that TM exemplified some characteristics, but not all, is what lead him to be profiled.

The guy was an insecure prick. Not a racist. The not guilty verdict is a result of an overeager DA that wanted a racist charge. Hes super guilty but not of what he was charged of.

Agreed. Should've just let the police handle it if he saw someone suspicious.
That all said, his stupidity in this case =\= guilty of manslaughter or second degree murder beyond a reasonable doubt based on the letter of the law and what was presented by the prosecution (whose presentation was awful).

Dude, that was a scary night. I was visiting a friend at an apartment in Birmingham and I didn't leave until 2:00am or so, an African-American man and his girlfriend were walking to the apartments as I was leaving. I walked right past them, about three feet away, and the guy said "you just stepped on my girl's shoes, you gonna say you sorry? You got dirt on her shoes man." It was surreal.
I just looked back and the dude was looked like he had been drinking all night and wanted to throw down just because. His girlfriend stared me down with a look of "get the frick out of here now before he pulls his knife or gun," told me to leave as she was tugging him toward the apartment. I did, most hastily.
