Another batch of wintery weather on the horizon.
quote:

"There's a lower pressure system moving through the Gulf, and there's a lot of moisture wrapping around it," he said. "With that combination of the moisture on the back side of the low pressure and the cold air, there could be some significant snowfall." Cox said it looks like the Jackson Metro area could receive an inch or two of snow, while areas above the I-20 corridor are looking at 2-4 inches, with up to six inches possible locally.

quote:

Four to 6 inches of snow are possible in the warning area south of the Tennessee River, and 3-5 inches for areas north of the river to the Tennessee border. Two to 5 inches are possible along and north of the Interstate 20 corridor, with isolated higher amounts, according to the National Weather Service

If you are planning on driving between Birmingham and Nashville do so before 5...last week people sat on I65 for 20+ hours due to bad road conditions.

Knowing our luck in Athens, we'll just get more shite-arse cold rain for the next two days. Poured snow and ice pellets this morning but nothing stuck to the roads.

We got hit with about 3 inches in Knoxville today. 3rd day of work canceled in the last week and a half.

Hopefully Thursday is more of the same

See that gap over Kentucky?

Let's keep it that way. I've had my fill of snow days.

4-6 inches of snow expected in South Central Arkansas tomorrow. Memphis should get a good bit as well. Yay more winter!

Bham is shutting down tomorrow. Predictions of 1 to 3 inches.

I'm willing to bet Birmingham gets a dusting but mostly rain. The local meteorologists were predicting big stuff last night and they've gotten progressively less bullish on our chances...except for James Spann who will probably predict a blizzard tomorrow just so he won't catch hell like he did last year.

There is literally no reason to cancel games tomorrow. Its going to be a dusting at worst in Bham.

Do you live on campus?

And yeah a lot of the teams from tomorrow are especially from north Alabama.
