Beshear wasn't great by any means but Kentucky's Gov. Bevin has flat stunk it up since he took office. He just upped and scrapped UofL's Board of Trustees without due process and now an injunction has been granted in a state court over that decision. His cuts to University funding is going before the Kentucky Supreme Court next month (he instituted a 2% cut to all Universities/Colleges without due process and possibly overstepped his authority there). His dumbass posted a video, bitching about the state legislature not working in the chamber at a time of day that they typically do not (due to the travel of many out in the state county reps and reps working in smaller groups outside of the chamber). I think back in May they released that he currently has one of the lowest approval ratings of all US Governors.

And he made me sympathize with UofL. It's that bad.

Bentley is a joke. He was only elected because because he's from Tuscaloosa, has a UA degree, and can stand in front of a podium and say "roll tide" during the middle of a great period for Bama football.

The state legislature is insanely corrupt, as well as the entirety of the Birmingham City government

Edwards is worse than Jindal. That says a lot.

Only Illinois can match Louisiana for unending corruption in the governors office, though other states have tried their damndest.

Not sure, but the worst Lt. Governor by far is Dan Patrick.

Bentley was elected because he entered into a secret agreement with AEA to run attack ads against Bradley Byrne under the guise of a Republican PAC. Of course, true to his nature he lied about the association and then screwed (pun intended) his former partner.

He won that election simply because he was the incumbent.

He was originally voted into office because his opponent was that yokel, Ron (Jus calls me Ron) Sparks.

No. He certainly won reelection because he was the incumbent and no R chose to challenge him.

He won the first time because of the AEA connection. The Alabama D party committed suicude so (as it was for Ds before their suicude) whomever wins the R primary has won the election. Bentley won that by getting AEA to secretly fund attack ads before the runoff against Bradley Byrne, the top vote getter in the initial primary vote.

Gov. Flip Flop is already costing the Commonwealth a fortune in court costs because of his ignorance about rule of law. He seems to think he was elected King.

It was obvious when he refused to release his tax records after being elected. He had promised to release them if he won. There must be a lot of incriminating evidence in those documents.

I for one like our governor ok. Abbott rides the Jesus stuff a bit much but is insanely better than that bitch hypocrite Wendy Davis.

Perry, for all his foibles, did well by the state.

I particularly like his complaints of executive orders under Beshear (and even Obama) but he's already used plenty in his short time in office.

Like you said, the lawsuit bills are going to grow in a hurry. And I'm pretty fearful of his push for charters here, especially when he's met with a bunch of "Reverends" in Louisville's West End to try to bolster them here.

Haha, I was in Kentucky back in October and every other ad on TV was about him not releasing his tax returns.
