Never buy a car made or sold by a Calvinist. That shite is nigh on impossible to change direction.

My personal opinion only.
"Religion" is mans attempt to deal with the awesomeness of God.
it is mostly a feeble attempt, but all the faiths you list are trying to comprehend and deal with this one thing.
The rest is politics. Combining the church with politics is fatal and historically and currently leads to brutality and cruelty in the name of the very God they claim to worship.
If you want a perfect example, look at the King James Bible, which was developed in the 1600's after King James VI of England forced the English Catholic church (Episcopalian) and the more radically conservative Puritans to agree on a standard Bible for political reasons.
Jesus did not speak in 16th century English, yet there are biblical literalists today that will insist that the bible as published is the literal word of God. if you are a history student, you will see there is no more political book ever written. Doesnt mean its meaning is not faith inspired, but between the various translations and political influences, its a mixed bag at best.
I am not a student of the Jewish faith, nor islam in detail, but I know the bible, great as it is, is a work of history and politics as much as faith. That in and of itself leads us to where we are today.
(and this whole Magma thing is some irritating nonsense.)
