I only identify as American. Most of my ancestors were on the continent by the late 17th century. The only recent immigrant in my bloodline is my grandmother, who was from France.

My grandmother in my mom’s side was adopted, so I don’t know much about the tree. My grandfather is a Boudreaux, was a real coonass before he passed.

I am part Norwegian, Scot, English, Basque, German Jew, and Muskogean (Creek). So my ancestors were here when most of y'all's people came across. Mayflower? Got ancestor. Jamestown? Got them there too.
Now my kids have French-Canadian.
