They trace my British Isle side back to Rollo. Kneel before your viking warlord, Norman.

Cnut was King of Denmark, England and Norway; together often referred to as the North Sea Empire. Yet after the deaths of his heirs within a decade of his own, and the Norman conquest of England in 1066, this legacy was lost.

Well in that case stay out of this thread entirely. Your precious island has been ruled by Germans for three centuries now.

I mean, a German literally commissioned Rule Britannia, your entire culture is a shitty annex of Germany.

You ever seen a corporate VP visit a job site in fresh blue jeans? It's kind of like that. Everything you see is a token to appease you small minded island Germans.

Britain's Empire's size shows a grand vision not just among the monarchs, but among its peoples as well.
Germany on the other hand is a sad place that even Germans wanted to escape it seems

English nobility is such a joke, you couldn't write a more hilariously retarded set of stories if you tried. Cousins fighting each-other. A guy starting his own church because he couldn't stop shooting blanks. A female monarch. A homosexual monarch who beggared the kingdom spending money on his boyfriends.

This is what real monarchs look like:

You don't appreciate someone taking initiative and giving it their all to take the throne?

Strange that once he got a new wife he had a son, perhaps youre seething because he had the balls to tell the catholic church to gtfo of his business?

Congrats on building an empire of people who don't know how to use toilets despite centuries of you attempting to teach them. Big accomplishment there that one is.

Germans over here installing themselves in charge of Russians, Danes, Greeks, and Spaniards, invading the Vatican, beating Ottomans, and actually winning Crusades. When's the last time the British actually ruled over another European country, when's the last time Britain was actually ruled by a Briton for that matter. All hail Queen Elizabeth and the glorious German house of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha!

Tell me, how long was said son's illustrious reign?

quote:

Who is Ludwig II of Bavaria

Who is largely a forgotten, peripheral character who still could build some bomb arse castles that people love today and have far more influence on culture than any Norman stone heap. James is far more notable for his buggery than Ludwig.

Imagine actually believing "modern biographers" . I bet you think Alexander the Great was gay too don't you?

Doesn't matter, he had a son, mission accomplished.

No, nor do I think Caesar or Richard the Lion Heart were. Just triggering your autistic attitude toward more contemporary sources
