My dads family is from Wales. My fathers's Family traced my paternal family all the way back to the American Revolution.and my mothers family is Danish. They came to American in the 1800s. My dads family came to America before the American Revolution and had family fight for our country against the English. Proud to be an American. I am truly American. God Bless the USA

This doesn't surprise me. I'm not familiar with what you're speaking of specifically, but I did find it interesting that they're saying blue eyes originated there. The Baltics. Apparently there is also another group of people that live there in the mountains somewhere who are a genealogical island in regards to leniage. Like, they don't know where these people came from.
I think the Tuatha De play into all that somehow or another.

The genealogical island thing wouldn’t surprise me at all. There are language isolates in Europe that don’t fall in to the Indo-European family; the Hungarians, the Finns, the Basques, and the Estonians who are in the Baltic. Outside of those every other language is at least distantly related. It’s where the “Hungarians are aliens” joke comes from. If you think about it, them being a genealogical island would help explain the language isolation as well.

I don't really identify as anything, but I generally consider my dad's side as English, mom's side as German.
23andme gives me 52.4% British and Irish, 17.2% French and German, 23.8% Broadly Northerwestern Europe (Britain, Scandinavia, France, Germany, etc.).
Ancestry gives me 80% England, Wales, and Northwestern Europe, 10% Ireland and Scotland. 1% German.

A little less than 10% scanadanavian. After that theres a very small amount of Irish. No German, my ancestors seemed to have a dislike their kind. And the rest, over 3/4 British. Feels good
