It's probably bad that at first I read that as "Retired as frick" right?

My brother works there. He's enjoying it.

I live to catch crappie, hunt and play golf. I fill in the time between doing those things by inspecting pressure vessels of varying types to fund said ventures.

His title is "software architect" I think. Maybe?

I am a sales engineer for a manufacturer of electrical power distribution assemblies. That ranges from your simple house panel to commercial and industrial panelboards, switchgear, motor control centers, transformers, etc.

To a lot of people I just sell big gray boxes

I went to an interview for an industrial hygienist position when I was right out of college.

I used to follow our industrial hygienist around the plant when I was an intern. Collected samples and mailed them off to a lab. It seemed easy enough, but I'm sure there's a lot more to it than that.

I don't do any hands-on sampling or monitoring anymore. I haven't personally hung a pump on anyone in over 15 years. I mostly deal with release and exposure modeling along with hazard controls design.

I had a job out of school running some lab equipment (ms/gc) for an environmental consulting firm and got to work with a bunch of IHs.

Because of this I'm occasionally leveraged for some expertise at my current place by the in-house CIH. Really interesting work.

I ran an AA, along with a GC/MS in an independent study course when I was an undergrad (back in the day).
