At this point I’m just waiting for that cuck SaturdayNAthens to come suck his cock and tell us all how we’re too stupid to understand how his elitist left wing policies would have prevented this while simultaneously being the primary cause of the incident

He is getting destroyed in the media. They are eating one of their own because of his comments and disinterested demeanor in his press conference today. He needs to move back to Maine, because he has no future in Georgia.

The video of him speaking in 2019 when he signed the Athens resolution saying illegal immigrants would be granted sanctuary in Athens is coming home to roost for him.

Kelly Girtz is the biggest a-hole in America. Sums up today's Democrat party perfectly.

Believe it or not, unlike the other mayors of the college towns of the SEC, he doesn't have anything to do with sports. So, it kind of doesn't fit here.

What role is your mayor taking with your team?

Would like to see he and his family meet the same fate as Laken, as well as his followers.

I’m not sure if you realize this but the vast (and I mean probably over 90%) of UGA fans and students don’t vote in the Athens Mayoral race.

The Mayor of Knox county filed a brief in support of Tennessee against the NCAA, it was a multi page topic on here that no one seemed believed to not belong on an SEC board.

Are you embarrassed by people discussing why well intended but full of unintended consequences policies pushed by liberals are a terrible thing for the country?

Absolutely not. But is it too much to ask, that when the overwhelming evidence of his poorly thought out policies are laid at his feet, can he learn from them? Can we agree that while helping those less fortunate seek a better life is a truly noble and worthwhile pursuit, can we have a vetting/probationary process? Why can’t those wishing to enter the country do so via a port of entry and wait outside the country for a response. Why can’t those seeking entry visit the US consulates in their home country and start the process? And can we become comfortable telling people no when it’s justified or warranted?

Because that’s the reasonable moderate thing to do. Failing that you push many reasonable moderate people into an unreasonable position. If something reasonable is not done then the mine the boarder, deploy the military in a buffer zone and deport everyone becomes the irrational but acceptable answer.

This is a prime example of why I said in the other thread change will only happen from the bottom up.

Your vote doesn't mean much of anything in a national election. However, your vote does mean a lot at your local election. And when it comes to the actual local policies and such, your local election is going to have much more impact on your life.

You vote for people like this in your local community and this is the kind of thing you can expect. So vote for the people who will put up a road block and remove all illegals from your city. Vote for the people who will hold criminals responsible.

Because the people of Athens got what they voted for. This is what they asked for, and when people like this were warned, they called those who warned them as racist.

This is a professor at Georgia. That city has a culture problem, I would not want to live there at all.

The city of Athens made this bed, and that young lady lies dead in it.

I think he said the Sheriff is near. Did anyone extend him a Laurel and Hardy handshake?

A violent man with a violent history that was not deported because another sanctuary city thought his life was worth more than an innocent person’s.

Well intended but poorly thought out liberal ideology.

Why do so many people want to discuss political topics on a sports board? What is wrong with you people? There's a politics board on this site you can post on. Is it some sort of insecurity that makes you want to bring political topics to a board dedicated to sports?

Why do you feel compelled to click and comment?

The topic obviously upsets you. The topic is obviously driving discussion. The issue seems to be a you issue instead of a board issue.
