I'm on a tear.
Here's one not directed at you
Alternative medicine is bullshite. There are not two different forms of medicine. It's a false dichotomy. Any form of "eastern" medicine or whatever that is empirically shown to work has been/will be incorporated into modern medicine.
So when you explore "alternative" medicine, you're exploring the options that we specifically know do not work.

No shampoo, conditioner, or soap. Replaced with baking soda, vinegar, and some other household shite.
I might try this. What's the point of doing this though?

They're cutting cable because it's becoming obsolete and there are more advanced technologies to provide the same media
Like... ?
Cable TV could certainly be replaced with Dish Network/DirectTV, except I have a nice bundle with internet access plus it is faster than either. U-Verse isn't available and the fastest DSL available is slow compared to my cable service.
I know some city slickers have fiber optic magic that blows cable out of the water, but AFAIK that is only on the west coast.

Gardening for food not for looks.
Paleo type eating habits (diets are for jerk offs).
One blade instead of 7
Raw dairy products.
Cooking from scratch.

Modern agriculture is probably the greatest thing to ever happen to mankind.

One of the latest Nat. Geo. issues has an article about the Mississippi Delta, specifically Arkansas, bemoaning the demise of the sharecropper lifestyle. Good toilet reading, but the whole time I was reading it I kept thinking "Exactly how many people do you want to starve to death?"

This is bullshite.
Modern medicine, for the most part, attacks the symptoms not the cause.
Attacking the root of the problems isn't of interest.
That's a major flaw in the dynamics of the entire thing.
There are definitely natural remedies for things that science has helped create. We even mimics nature by synthesizing what natural has already done.

Anti gluten losers
What is puzzling to me is the people who are genuinely PISSED that some people choose not to eat certain foods.

I've been gluten-free for over six years. It has improved my health in numerous ways. I was early on the "trend" that it has become. I don't "try to eat gluten free". I avoid that shite like its poison, because with my DNA, it kinda is.

Modern agriculture is probably the greatest thing to ever happen to mankind. It's dramatically improved quality of life everywhere it is available, and has/will saved untold billions from starvation.
And you wanna tear it all down.
But hey, you have your reasons 1) you don't understand it. 2) it makes you feel icky and 3) people involved in modern agriculture make money (the horror!)
Modern Agriculture has destroyed the top soil. Huge problem.
Monocropping and farms with miles of the same crop is the absolute inverted way nature is supposed to work.
Our biggest crop is corn, it's used to make all of the bullshite food that feeds our disgusting fat bodies that are deficient in essential nutrients. But don't worry, take this synthesized vitamin pill made from chemicals.
And the bees, bro? What about them, we need those little guys. Modern agriculture has killed em.
I could keep going, but I'm sleepy.
