Like someone else mention, my main piece of advice is GO TO CLASS. You're going to hear that a lot from people as you get into your first year, but there is a reason. Most of my Cs could have been As if I had attended class everyday.
Also, take a slate of easy classes your first semester or really your first year. Think night classes and TTh afternoon classes. You can work your schedule to get a five day weekend and still get 12 hours. Don't be a hero and take biology or chemistry to get your physical science requirements done early. Humanities and Social Sciences.

I rarely went to class and did fine. As a biology major, it was really just about reading the book/lecture slides over and over. Unless attendence was part of the grade, I rarely went.

Also remember that classes should be scheduled with enough time to get from class to class...

Depends on how you learn. Some people can read and absorb everything they need. Some people can't.

Im a terrible auditory leaner with a short attention span. 15 minutes in lecture and I was done.

I'm not going to piddle in semantics with you. You know what the argument is, so please grow up and stop trolling.
But if it makes a lick of difference (and it doesn't) we can call it the Gay Priveleges movement.

No semantics about it. Every citizen enjoys the same rghts under the Constitution. Using the correct terminology isnt trolling. Now if the only thing you wish to discuss is recognizing marriage , then just say so. My view on this is that the Govt needs to be out of the marriage business. Marriage should be left as a strictly religious ceremony between two individuals.

To me at least, I interpret marriage as part of the "pursuit of happiness" in the bit of the Constitution that reads "that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.". And as it reads that should be an unalienable right. That's just my interpretation though.

I think a very large majority of people feel this way. But in the meantime it's not that way. So it needs to be addressed.

That's the problem, right there. That one little word... moral. Morality should have absolutely nothing to do with it. Whether I think it is okay to be gay and whether 2 men should legally be allowed to get married, 2 totally different subjects.
This is a legal issue and the problem always comes in when people start talking about whether they feel it is right or wrong to be gay.
I think flag burning is a fricked up act and I don't condone it in the least, but it is legal and I agree with that.
