Alabama had a partial champ until he got his arse kicked by a Brit tonight, but the others that come to mind are easily:

Ali - Kentucky

Holyfield - Georgia

Sonny Liston and Jermaine Taylor - Arkansas

George Foreman - Texas

Um, ever heard of Joe Louis? The greatest heavyweight of all time according to the Internation Boxing Organization? Was Heavyweight Champion of the world for 12 years and successfully defended that title 25 times?

He's from Lafayette, Alabama
