Absolutely blasphemous. South Park by leaps and bounds. When was the last time has Family Guy actually done anything really smart?

If you want to know how much better South Park is, compare their Wheel of Fortune jokes. In Family Guy, Peter merely guesses the least likely letters and impossible symbols to make the final board, and then he miraculously guesses it. I think an 8 year old could have thought of that. Now look at South Park's "People who annoy you". All Randy has to do is guess a single letter in the middle of "N_GGERS". He guesses what we're all thinking, and then it gloriously turns out to be NAGGERS, which makes just as much sense and no one would think it. That may be the best possible Wheel of Fortune joke, and it's just on a completely different level than merely Peter blindly guessing and getting it right.

I watched Paris Hilton be anally vored by a gay guy.

But that was a plot point on how Paris Hilton being a filthy whore isn't something to be admired. That was clearly not only part of the plot, but its resolution. South Park almost never does those "You mean like that one time I went ice skating with Kanye West" type jokes.

None of you can be serious to say that South Park isn't random. "Very little" is strong language, don't you think?

South Park is highly structured, and Matt and Trey hate gags that don't add to the plot of the story. There is build-up and delivery to almost all of their jokes, and they usually add to the plot. Same can't be said of Family Guy.

Randy Marsh > Peter Griffin. I enjoy both, but South Park is genius, and is all their work. I feel like Family Guy is too "18 writers in Hollywood compiled this".

South Park has more replay value, re-reuns of Family Guy don't pack as much punch

These two aren't even good comparisons as South Park completely blows Family Guy away. I say that as someone who grew to appreciate Family Guy. There's just no comparison though. South Park is one of the smartest satirical comedy series in TV history.

This. Trey and Matt are literally genius. Has Seth ever created a broadway musical that won 9 tony's, a grammy, and made it to number 3 on the Billoard charts? I like Family Guy but South Park is above and beyond better.

I equate family guy to a hit pop song now a days to a hit pop song back in the day (South Park)

Lower quality but more appealing to the masses. Less memorable and will not have the same replay value.

That being said though.....

Spongebob > South Park > Family Guy

South Park. Family Guy is about nothing, literally, there's no plot.

That said, I do enjoy both.

You've never spent much time on the Movie/TV board, have you?

Btw, I watch both, but South Park is the greater show by far.
