Sometimes I feel like I'm at a CPAC conference on year. FFS.

There's a website that has a tracker that constantly updates reported cases, recovery, and deaths. The mortality rate is about 3.5%.
The same mortality rate for swine flu would have given you about 2 million dead here in the US if the 59M number is accurate.
And no one today would be suggesting this is an overreaction.

I certainly understand that we should be a bit concerned. But it's approaching panic mode while it was not even close to this at the peak of the Swine Flu Pandemic when 1 in 5 Americans had it at the time.

When the Lefts last chance is Socialist and a early onset Dementia patient, they know they have to find a way to put a thumb on the scale. I love how CNN and MSNBC are now targeting the CDC and accusing them of incompetency . I honestly believe there are people who are rooting for the virus.

This one is more serious so far because the death rate is higher. I do believe there is a grain of overreaction to this, but that offsets the similar number of people who are ignorant to this new outbreak.
This ain't some lib-rul conspiracy, folks. South Korea, China and Italy have virtually shut down because of this.

Not according to the back of a lysol can. People have been posting videos of lysol cans with the human coronavirus on the label since it came out.

There is actually a drug developed at Uab that is already helping.

Be careful, guy. The groupthink on here will resort to those terrifying ad hominem attacks and name calling.

Like I said, take it for what it’s worth.
I’ve done the two things my physician recommended: (a) get a flu shot, so I won’t contract the “regular” flu, thereby pulling resources that may need to be used for Coronavirus; and (b) wash my hands like a fiend.
Common sense.
It shouldn’t be over-hyped, but it shouldn’t be ignored either.

Fear mongering
The mortality rate right now in South Korea is .6% and that number will drop as more cases are being tested.

Correct.
The 3.4% figure is the global/WHO number.
WHO Director-General's opening remarks at the media briefing on COVID-19 - 3 March 2020
Wouldn’t surprise me if the statistics change weekly/monthly—at least for a while.

For the record, I’m not a pathologist nor an epidemiologist.
I’m just sharing what I’ve read.
It’s up to Joe Public to do his own research and sift through the data.
