nirvana is probably the most overrated band in history.

I had to include KISS on this one because of advertising as much as the actual music. 8 out of 10 people who wear the t-shirts and claim to think they are the best can't name 3 songs by them.
ETA - not that they actually have 3 songs worth naming.

Compared to some other bands of equal talent I think they are. Today anyway, I'm too young to speak for the past.
Also, Lithtning is the best song written by a major country musician in recent years.

Their talent level was good IMO, but Cobain was a huge pussy. He felt sorry for every single fricking living thing, felt like he may / may not be gay, but understood everyone and why others bullied each other. A lot of weird petty shite..
Dave Grohl is a badass tho.

Most people like KISS because of the shows they put on, not their music. Even the band members have said they have to put on a great show because their music isn't that good.

I think parents should still be able to bust a kids arse without worry of having the fricking child protective services called.
