Is that aimed at gay people or the religious right?

There was a gay guy in our hunting club one year. He was an avid deer hunter and usually took most of his vacation time at work during deer season. I had no clue for a while until he told me and another guy there one night. Didn't fit a single stereotype. He did ask us not to tell any of the other members as he knew how some of them would react.

Not trying to attack you specifically, but I always find it funny when people say they're repulsed by it. I'm repulsed by obese people, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't have the same rights as I do.

I don't know if you concluded by my post that I believe they shouldn't have the same rights, but if you did, that wasn't my intent, nor do I see how you arrived at that conclusion. You find it funny that I'm repulsed by the act as a straight person, yet turn around and say fat people repulse you. What's the difference? I didn't say gay people repulse me, just the sexual act. I couldn't choose to get it up with a man, that was my point, I was more or less defending their way of life.

Not what I concluded.

There isn't. That was my point. It's not you specifically, but when people make an argument against gay people and they say it's repulsive, there are so many thing out there that could be considered repulsive in every day life, that it's just a terrible argument. Again, not meant to attack you specifically, and I realize that's not the argument you were making.

To be fair, you weren't specific about the sexual act being repulsive. But again, I don't think you were denigrating gay people by saying that. If I'm honest, I don't like to see two guys kiss, but that doesn't mean I think it's wrong. I wouldn't say I'm repulsed by it, but it's just not my thing.

I've got a friend who is a boiler maker who goes up to ND to work on pipelines half the year. Unless he told you the only indicators he was gay were if you noticed the tiny faded rainbow sticker on the back of his F-350, or noticed how nice and clean he kept his fingernails

Or if he happened to have his flaming black boyfriend with him, then that was also a good indicator

I actually asked him once if people gave him more shite for being gay or for being in an interracial relationship. He said by far it came from the interracial relationship because even the other gays in Alabama would tell him he shouldn't date black guys.

Gay don’t send you to hell... not being saved sends you to hell. To be saved, a person has to recognize their sin for what it is and admit that they are on the road to hell because of it. Then seek redemption and justification through what Jesus did on the cross... righteousness through HIM not through ourselves. This all requires us humbling ourselves before an almighty God and putting away our pride by admitting our guilt... hard to do that when you are consumed with trying to justify your own sin by twisting and changing Biblical principles. Homosexuality is WRONG... very wrong... and un-natural. Seeing your dog sniffing another dogs butt doesn’t change that, and it doesn’t in any way validate or vindicate two human men having sexual intercourse with each other.

Well damn. Guess we better stone all the homosexuals. All sin is sin. Doesn't make anyone more or less sinful than another.

Yep all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The difference isn’t that sin is sin, it’s that one side is taking sin and trying to make it not sin or justify it when it can’t be... essentially telling God he is wrong... society is trying to take a sin that God both spoke about as an abomination and un-natural and took decisive and completely destructive action against and turn it into something beautiful by perverting both nature and Gods word to support that twisted narrative- and it just will never work. Sin is sin, homosexuality is sin (one very offensive to God), and that’s all it is to it... it’s very clear in Gods word. So, the only way to deal with it is A) accept that Gods word is correct and that it is sin and thus wrong or B) Reject Gods word (and thus God) and believe a perverted lie instead.

Other "un-natural" stuff:

Cars
Houses
Money
Boats
Dictionaries
Fans
Groceries
Oral sex
Cigarettes
Beer
Joints
Synthetic oil
Dolly the cloned sheep
Dresses
Pants
Underwear
Electricity
Bronze
Statues
Mowed lawns
Dentures
Anal sex
Paper
Pens
Computers
Cell phones
Flashlights
Headlights
Concrete
Fences
Cement ponds
Phonographs
Photographs
Electrographs
Graphs
Etc.
Etc.
Etc.

Get my drift? If it's done by mankind, it isn't natural. We have brains, well most of us anyway, and have lost all instinctual behavior as a species. Only our abilities to think and reason are natural.

Our emotional orientations, sexual orientations, handedness orientations and other behavioral orientations are no longer governed by genetic instinct. Rather, they are subject to the whims of our epigenetics as we develop in the womb and after birth as children. While what you will become is not exactly a crap-shoot, there is great variability from the dichotomous world you seem to think exists.

Presently, there is absolutely no way of interceding to change this development. To do so is to risk great psychological harm to a child. Most people in civilized societies accept that this variability is good for society at large because they recognize the importance of good mental health for the masses. People who grow up physically fit and mentally healthy live productive lives that contribute to the societies in which they reside.

It's not a decision. That's how they were born. How they were created. It's not something that is done in direct defiance of God. That's how God created them.
