Why don't we have a "DVR" type device for radio? Id love to record radio shows and listen to them later.

Im sure the answer is because of "Copyright" protection but this needs to happen

Gamecock fan invented one three years ago ... it's selling like hot cakes.

You can even use it to sync your radio play by play with your satellite TV feed.

Ain't gonna happen ... laws of physics.

Now, if we discover and learn how to manipulate wormholes ... we'll be a badass class IV civilization and traveling at the speed of light will be a long forgotten futile desire.

I'd rather we get-off if fossil fuels and learn to harness fusion asap.

My Sirius radio has it.

Just in that I can rewind to the beginning of a song as many times as I like or pause radio.

I may or may not have listened to Pompeii by Bastille 6x in a single car trip from Dallas to Temple.

First off you should be commended for thinking of others. Everyone else in this thread is all like "flying cars" and "nookie in a can" and you think of others. That's awesome.

Secondly, I'm sad no one has invented virtual reality porn.

You can't go faster than the speed of light, but you can possibly distort space to make distances shorter. This gives the practical effect of traveling faster than the speed of light. That's the idea anyways. Link

now that I would love. MLB.tv lets you watch the game and listen to the radio guys and its awesome. If I could do that with UGA football it would be even better

Yes, I am aware that the theory of bending spacetime around a vessel can, theoretically, allow us to "warp" to an area in less time than it would take light to travel, but we will never truly be able to travel at light speed.

Combination clothes washer/dryer/sorter/folder/ironer/hanger

It would save a lot of people a lot of time.

Runner-up:

A fully automatic lawn mower
Put it on the ground and watch it do all the work.

Like a roomba? But a lawnba?

I personally like mowing a lot.

I actually push mow for almost 90 minutes. I also like the exercise in the spring and fall, but in the summer it is a little too much.
