I watched that propaganda last night for a good laugh.

It portrayed Christians as persecuted while Atheists were pointy headed, bad mannered, intellectual wine snobs who needed saving.

A side story that had nothing to do with the central plot poked Muslims in the eye as well.

Oh and the Pastor and Missionary stand around smiling and laughing just after the (Spoiler Alert)

Atheist professor dies after getting struck by a car. He converted back to Christianity as he was dying.

I can't count how many times I cringed watching that movie. Sitting in my seat in a dark theater, I could feel myself getting embarrassed for the whole thing

Na, it's not harmful, we're not insecure about our believes like the dumbass atheists are about their non-beliefs.

I for one am not. You'll never see me start a thread slamming the non-believers.

Exactly, Christians don't make threads on this board slamming atheists though.

Seems there's one every other day slamming believers.

Just voicing my opinion for the first time.

I haven't seen the movie so I can't say as to whether I agree with its content but what did you expect it to be about?

It was made in response to a college professor who was telling his students to proclaim that God was dead. That particular professor IS an intellectual snob who apparently thinks that all Christians believe in silly fairy tales and are in need of his all-knowing guidance. A lot of atheists share that point of view.

Anyone who says they know for absolute certain that nothing happens after we die is just as ignorant as those who say that they know for absolute certain that something does. I think that everyone is Agnostic on some level whether they want to admit it or not.

Don't think the movie was meant to bash non-believers at all. I think it was to bring awareness that there are some professors that are adamantly opposed to Christianity in their classrooms. Heck, I experienced this from a couple of professors at a college in small town, Arkansas.

I will agree that it wasn't put together well though but these small market films rarely are.

Clearly some idiot didn't pay attention to the movie. How can you hate something you don't believe in?

a Muslim was helped in the movie. That Muslim will go on to save many other Muslims.

You liberals are some big crybabies.

I'm Christian...I thought it was just a bad movie. Bad script and sub-par acting (what do you expect when you cast Kevin Sorbo as a college professor...and when you add in the acting talents of Dean Cain...). It was like watching a bad made for TV special.

It was pandering and just an all around bad movie. As a Christian, I would love for it to have been a good movie on Apologetics. It simply wasn't.

I will add that the title is "God's Not Dead"...guess they thought using contractions in the title made it more hip.

Obviously you didnt watch movie close enough. He isnt even atheist. He is a Christian who is mad at God bc of something, i think it was mom died of cancer?

Movie perhaps trys to tell Christians that Atheists arent really atheists. I will leave that up to you to decide. Either way it missed a chance for an actual debate when making the professor a christian instead of atheist.

This. Tbh, most of 'em are (small budgets, as alluded to earlier).

Didn't even finish the movie. Cringe-worthy.

I thought it was to play off of the song title by the same name? Or did the film come first?

Honestly, I can't remember.
