So I work in an office with 2 women (no pics trust me) and my gosh they make me want to suck start a shotgun sometimes. Always on their cell phones and trying to get something done is impossible.

I worked in an office for 3 years once where I was the only guy. 8 women, then me. It was fine 90% of the time, but that 10% was just awful.

I work in an office with 2 women. They are on their cell phones a lot.

I have threatened the "Better Call Saul" solution that when they come in each day they will have to deposit their phones in a box. That seems to work the best.

Also, if I see them texting or looking at their phones, I'll ask if it's work related. Do that a few times, and it works, if only temporarily.

I don't think that the glued to the phone phenomena is confined to certain genders, these days. When I go anywhere, any person under the age of 40, male or female, is glued to his/her phone.

Pretty much our whole society. I'd raise that age to 55+.

Must be your industry.

I have no qualms with anyone I work with.

well besides their "need" for SEC football like me, but that was my own doing.

Pretty funny really.
Because I work with a many older people now (being 40+) and when they're never at their desk always on their phones.

Of course it's work related and what I do we are consistently "on call" so always have to be ready

The cell phone stuff is ridiculous. It is a freakin mobile phone..if you have to talk on it go to a more private area..why do they have to sit at their desk and talk on it??

I worked with one..she was the "company" gossip not just the office. Everyone that worked with her hated her and they no longer work for the company. We are having an old company get together and half the people are passing because she will be there.

I don't thnk he means that.
I've never seen that.

I think it's just being on it during work.
Like looking at shite, texting etc.

I've worked with women in an office setting before and I haven't noticed them on their phones more than men. Seems like both genders can be equally glued to them and it's more generational to me.

That being said I much prefer working with men on a team than leading or being a member a mixed gender team. It's easier to communicate and get things done, less feelings getting hurt, less showmanship and posturing. It's just easier.

I don't really think this is a female only issue. If I had to list the top 10 worst co-workers I've ever had, men would outnumber women pretty easily.

Worst thing about that job was how territorial those women would get over me since I was the only male in the office. Nothing sexual or romantic, but you could sense the jealousy from the others if I went to lunch with one of them. And the worst one in the office in that regard was the 60ish year old receptionist. It never failed if I went to lunch with one of them, she'd bring me cookies or brownies a few days later. It was weird.

Operations manager for an HVAC Contractor. One girl is the dispatcher and the other one is a supposed office manager/ service manager. Constantly gossiping on their phones and pissing and moaning about how busy they are.

Less showmanship and posturing with men? I find it to be the exact opposite.

I work with women every day(my boss is a woman and her boss is a woman) and they're some of the sharpest people I've ever worked with. I also work for a global Fortune 500 company, so we have a lot of women and men of all colors and creeds, but I often prefer to work with women, because it seems like men in my company always want to make things political and are the ones doing the posturing.

I work from home now, and love it. But we had a lot of women in our office, lots of standing around talking about fashion and such. Not a fan.

I had three women and one gay man as IT department heads under me. They made my life remarkably easy.

Give them the money and the responsibility and they’ll perform better than most men. They ALWAYS feel as if they have to prove themselves.

But I guess it’s better to have guys standing around talking about anything other than work. Football, cars, guns, politics, pussy. You should have seen the looks they’d get on their faces when the woman would start assigning tasks.

Slacking off doesn’t count if you’re reading the Rant off of a desktop/laptop.
