I just partake socially mainly. Down towards the Bay or Beach, it adds to the relaxing atmosphere, especially when some live music is going.

IF you like the taste of Margaritas, which I do, try a high quality tequila and mix it with fresh squeezed lime juice on ice. At times, I will add a teaspoon of Blue Agave.

My main drink, which I am having right now since one my best friends died today

, is 50/50 Don Julio and fresh squeezed lime juice

I don't drink except maybe once a year if cooking

It has to be Lite beer over ice, to knock out that aftertaste. Plus I had to drink a flat beer daily as a kid for my kidney (yes I meant singular). So I guess that's why I don't enjoy it either.

Gotcha, wish I was like that. I have trouble controlling it myself.

Some brandy I think rasberry
Lemonade
Grenadine and others I can't think of from taste of the drink.

When mixed its a purple/maroon color.

Gin and tonic is my go to at a bar because it is hard to frick it up and tasty. At home I have been messing around with homemade mixes and have a solid whiskey sour. When the girlfriend is in a drinking mood we have been going with pineapple vodka and a cran/coconut juice I found that is a damn tasty summer drink.

Fever tree makes great mixers. I keep them in business with ginger beer.

I rarely drink likker.

Really it's only when on a Delta plane. Jack and Coke. Tastes better in the sky. Something about the altitude and air pressure makes the whiskey and coke taste better. Like nectar.

Sunmertime is rum/juice or gin/giner ale or ginger beer with a little lime. Refreshing and goes down easy.

Winter is the time for bourbon.

Agree completely. Minus the rocks. But as you are a Kentuckian - you are forgiven, by me if not your fellow Wildcats.

Usually go straight whiskey or an old fashioned or just some beer. I'll go with something else every once in a while but those are my staples
