Didn't like the Wall Street Journal list? It took you long enough to find this one.

Once you get past 100 or even 50, does it really matter?

Auburn has a large student body of over 28,000, and is acclaimed as a STEM leader for the South, often named alongside the Southern Ivies like Duke and Vanderbilt. Due to its heritage as a polytechnic institute, Auburn is known for its research emphasis, including significant contributions to the space program, as well as health science and biotech.

Realistically? No, the Education is almost the same, the difference comes from the extra opportunities you get to apply yourself at a better school.

Everyone calls Auburn the Princeton of East Alabama and I think it's true

As for the rankings, I'm not sure where the SCAR love comes from, but that looks reasonable. Bama cooks the metrics, but they've certainly improved considerably and I think they probably fit in a handful of spots behind where Auburn is in reality.

UTK is also underrated here and should probably be in the tier behind Auburn and Alabama.

For grad school the answer is definitely yes

I mean, going to one middle of the pack SEC school over another doesn't matter that much.

But going to UF instead of Ole Miss matters, sure.

I agree in grad or professional school. A #50 law school is much better than a #100
